|
|
This thread is to discuss the employment at Hogwarts when Harry's kids are attending.
Here are my thoughts:
Head Master
Horace Slughorn
I just think he's earned it. He still keeps the Slug Club going, and has failed to ensnare James Potter into it. However, Albus proves easier to take in. The Slug Club actually helps Albus gain a stronger will. The Club has meetings at the Potter home over the Summer, much to Harry and James' annoyance.
Deputy Head Master
Head of Ravenclaw
Arithmancy Master
Nicholas Scrimgeour
He was an auror with Harry for a few years, but went into teaching. He became the Arithmancy professor, and eventually Head of Ravenclaw and Deputy Head Master. He has a daughter James' age. The two are "Chief Mischief Makers" at Hogwarts, much to Nick's dismay.
Head of Gryffindor
Defense Against the Dark Arts Master
Bill Weasley
Need I say more?
Head of Hufflepuff
Charms Master
Wilhelmina Grubbly-Plank
I imagine she took the post to teach Muggle Studies, and later Charms.
Head of Slytherin
Astronomy Master
Aurora Sinistra
Her name just sounds so Slytherin-ish.
Transfiguration Master
Flight Instructor
Lachlan Alderton
Has been teaching it since McGonagall retired. He married Gwenog Jones and they had a daughter, Lachina. She is in the same year as Albus, and they are best friends. And I do mean "best friends".
History of Magic Master
Binns
And he's still as boring as ever.
Herbology Master
Neville Longbottom
*This was in the prologue of the book.
Potions Master
Not sure. I get back to this.
Ancient Runes Master
I think Bathsheda Babbling retired, but I can't imagine who took her place.
Divination Master
Lavender Brown
She's a more genuine Seer than Sybill Trelawney, but she likes to joke around with students by making prophesies in class.
Care of Magical Creatures Master
Rubeus Hagrid
*Doesn't sound like he's retired, but not confirmed.
Muggle Studies Master
Not sure, maybe Dudley took the job.
Note: Nicholas Scrimgeour and Lachlan Alderton are completely from my imagination. _________________

I actually think that at least half of the teachers would be the same, and the rest would be from a new generation . . . probably people whom we've never met. _________________

It's spelled Weasley.
Although i disagree with a lot of those, I appreciate the effort that it must have taken to make that list. As Zen said, I don't think the positions would have changed much, For instance, I don't see why Slughon wouldn't have continued as Potions Master. McGonagall was deputy headmistress, so I like to think she became Headmaster for a bit. I know JKR said she was getting on in years, but maybe that was later on during the trio's kids' years that they had a new headmaster.
I still see Bill as working at the bank, I don't see why he would switch positions.
I would actually like to see Neville as Head of Gryffindor someday. With McGonagall getting on in years, as JKR said, they would need a new Head. And I hink Neville would have been good for that job. _________________

This was a fun thread... I wondered some thing like this too.
However, I don't think this was the case for Draco. He was in the epilogue and at the train station... if he was a teacher he already would have been at HW.
I see Draco becoming a bit of a hermit and staying a lot more quiet than he did in his student days. |
