Yeah. I would act the same way if i was him.
His parents and one of his friends(Cedric) gets killed. I mean i would really mad at this also. He cant really do anything, he is ignored at the beginning of the book and i would be angry totally if i was in his situation. I mean. Think about it. |

Of course he's angry.he has just spent cca 3 months with his ''lovely family'' while nobody told him nothing about voldemort,he didnt know what happens with his friends and where are they, his only company was his owl dumbledore should contact him and give him infotmation about order or something, but nooo he left him waiting for 2 horrible months with dursleys.I completly understeand him.If I was he I'd be furious. |

Exactly he doesnt know what to expect. He's been at his "lovely family" for 2 months and he doesnt know what to do. No contact, No Owls, nothing. And than once he finds out everything he gets furious with them all, thats what i would have been like. All of this is because of Dumbledore not letting him in on it. He is the Chosen One! He did fight Voldemort, i mean. Shouldnt he be in this two? He is the one to kill him. He has the scar. I mean, come on. Cant you give him some information!? |

I was wondering the same thing, this is the book where Harry is angry at all. Talk about, throwing even Dumbledore's possessions . But I will be really angry if i were in his shoes. Like he didi to Ron and Hermione... _________________

Yeah it was like OMG, is that Harry? Good thing Dumbledore's got a very long patience, and with Hermione bossing around him? There is no reason why Harry shouldn't be angry. _________________

i think we all had that "omg what happened to nice quiet harry?!"
but it would be inhuman to not have a strong reaction to all the stuff he's going through, i got that the second time i read it _________________

but most people dont do that, they first say that its ridiculous to have a perfect hero who never complains, but the moment he does so he's the most annoying character in the book _________________

what people don't relise is that you have to look at it from a relalistic point of veiw. think: how would you feel if you were in his shoes. people just don't think |

exactly, people dont think, they just judge
it makes me sad really, harry is a good guy and everyone keeps saying he's annoying, it ends up being just like in the book, do you realize that? they sometimes love him, then they hate him _________________

^ I agree.... if he was always perfect it would be a very boring story. His character is written realistly. No one is happy 24/7 without tons of prozac. _________________

24 is for the hours in a day, 7 is for the days in the week.
24/7 means "always" or "all the time." _________________

Yeah, that's totally true
It's the same way in the DH, where he's mad at Dumbledore 24/7 _________________ Wit beyond measure is man's greatest treasure. |

His attitude is well-reasoned if you ask me - he has been an outcast in his entire life, he has been getting marked for death ever since he was 1, and ever since he was 1 he would either face humiliation or anger, hatred. He would have to cope with people trying to decide between "is he the Chosen One" or "is he a show off", while all he would like is people being normal with him. It's absolutely well reasoned.
Although, terrifyingly immature.
Harry is going through all this and yes it's sad and it's annoying and it's all the fluffy things, but he keeps forgetting that he's not the only one that has problems. If you ask me, the greatest sort of pain in this world we live is to lose someone, and have it be your fault. This pain is unbearable; it's called guilt and it can often lead to suicide, something that Harry never even considered.
The person I'm speaking about has been trying for his entire life to build up something with a person he has been taught that is forbidden, and impure; he has spent his life trying to compete with someone that would eventually get what he wanted, and he would, ultimately, lose that person because of his own mistake. This is why I think that Harry, compared to the person I'm talking about, has been through nothing.
Hands down for Severus Snape. _________________ CONSTANT VIGILANCE, SCUMBAGS!
