Sorry to anybody if there’s a topic already about this.

Bone of the father (unknowingly given), flesh of the servant (willingly given), blood of the enemy (forcibly taken)..

Its says on Mugglenet

"Voldemort, in his baby form, was placed into it the cauldron."

If it was placed into his cauldron "baby form", wouldn't that me like 50 years of ageing in 10 seconds?

He wasn't really a baby... not literally.

And even if he was aging rapdily in 10 seconds... it's magic. Smile

Maybe he was a dwarf or even a man-growned baby, but it was gross seeing him being put into the pot, eww!

He was deformed because when you create a horcrux, your appearance will change. And if you do 7, well ...

But he gained that baby-like appearance because the night he met harry, the soul inside his body died. And i expect he was growing(literally) back into his normal(deformed) appearance, but the potion sped it up.

it said that he had a baby like form, not that he was a baby

having been hit by avada kedavra but having a horcrux does that to you apparently

I don't think it literally meant "baby"- as in he had just been born -but "baby" as small, weak, and helpless.
He also wasn't a full grown man in the sense that he had no power, he was just a fragment of soul so what do you expect?

Quote:
Wormtail was able to follow the instructions I gave him, which would return me to a rudimentary, weak body of my own, a body I would be able to inhabit while awaiting the essential ingredients for true rebirth... a spell or two of my own invention... a little help from my dear Nagini,” Voldemort's red eyes fell upon the continually circling snake, “a potion concocted from unicorn blood, and the snake venom Nagini provided... I was soon returned to an almost human form, and strong enough to travel.

In short, it was simply a weak frail body, the size of a baby's, it wasn't actually a baby body.

mm. wow never even thought of this before.

but yeah im going to have to agree that. JK did not literally mean "baby" just a person who was so badly disfigured, that they resembled a life form that was small, crippled and was pretty much just as helpless as a baby. as he needed wormtail to survive.
