Why zengrenouille? Very Happy . I never saw Harry so angry and sad until Sirius death, one of his good things to Harry was being a responsible godfather and the Firebolt. it's just annoying that Umbridge confiscated it.

That's just the thing. I didn't understand it. I usually don't cry so much over book deaths. It was only the first time the I read it right after it came out, though. I have never cried since then whenever I read the book.

Lol, yeah . . . just a little. I can understand, though. The first time that I read the beginning of SS, I just saw it as a little boy with a rather sad life. Now, wheneve I read it, I get very emotional. There is a connection with Harry that I didn't have the first time.

^ well that can be also because you grew up and have more ability to understand harry's situation

i dont know about you, but the first time i read that book i was about 11 or twelve, so i could hardly understand much of child abuse, i read it with different eyes when i was 17 and it touched me much more

I was 15 when I read it, so I understood it just fine. I just didn't have that connection, yet.

i didn't cry when sirius died. it wasn't that obvious he was dead at first, so i wasn't really sad. and by the time it was obvious he was dead the shock and everything had god, so i was sad, but i wasn't sad enough to cry.

I knew the instant it happened that he was gone for good. There had been a huge build up about an important death prior to the books release. Jo told her stories of crying like baby while writing the death and all of that jazz. Most of us assumed that it would be Sirius, and I spent the whole book wondering if the next chapter would be the one in which Sirius would die. When it happened, I just knew that was it.

same here, somehow the moment didnt seem dramatic enough when it happened, because harry was mostly angry at the mo, not sad

when he goes back to dumble's office we still see anger but we also see sadness and desperation, that was more dramatic in my opinion
