If they split when Ron leaves then I dont think Part I will have enough stuff in it and Part II will have to cram too much stuff in. The two parts are only suppose to be about 2 and 1/2 hours.
I'm thinking they will split the movie right after Godrics Hollow or possibly right after Ron comes back.
I think it would be the other way around.. I don't think tehre will be enough stuff if they wait too long to end the first film.
The first part will still have... Dursely's leaving, the 7 Potters, Hermione explaining Horcruxes, The Wedding (assuming they keep it in), Fleeing from the wedding, Grimmauld Place, Kreacher's story, Breaking into the Ministry, camping, the goblin's revenge, and finally, Ron leaving.
The second act would have, Godric's Hllow, The silver doe, Xeno, malfoy Manor, Gringott's, Aberforth's story, and the Battle. And teh battle itself has plenty of stuff in it.
Within all of those sections a lot goes on, There should be plenty of stuff in both Parts to go on.
If they end the film with Ron returning, it might be too saccharin sweet for an ending.
if teh end any time after that, it would be too awkward of an ending. Every film needs a beginning, middle and end. It can't be just a bunch of stuff happening, each part has to tell a story unto itself.
I think you have it perfect! and as the recap it will prolly be like wat they did with Xmen! it will be as a comercial type thing, either that or they will just jump straight into it. and the reason they have to wait bout 6 months is because they will have to do completely different previews and trailers, it takes a lot of effort to hype these things.... even though for this they really dont have to... its protocol. (my husband works in the entertainment business.) unfortunately its all bout contracts and protocol. it sucks!!!!! i cant wait to see how they do it. it better be much better than the first 5 movies!!!!!! _________________ Mahogany, 13 inches, pliable, excellent for Transfiguration.

sorry ginny... but in this scene..i dont see him giving mirror... he never gave him the mirror..
in this scene he just tells him about the family tree and harry tells him that he fears he becoming like voldy.. nthing more...
he hugs him n hermione says its time to go...
thats it.. no mirror given.. no knife given either wich could open up the locks....
Yeah, I realized thatafter I posted and couldnt edit it. Itwas just such a perfectplace for him to give Harry the mirror... and they really dropped the ball. In the book thatis the spot where he does give harry the mirror, just before he leaves. I have no idea what made the film makers think they didn't need the mirror, when they had a scene and obviously time to in the movie to have the mirror exchange take place.
but then doesnt Harry look into the mirror and throw it across the room and shatter it after serius dies???? or was that just in the book? Im not a big fan of any of the movies so far. they just deviate way to much for my liking.... but i seriously thought they showed harry having the mirror after he died. and they really did drop the ball w the whole knife thing, i believe that comes up in later books! _________________ Mahogany, 13 inches, pliable, excellent for Transfiguration.

They will end it at the climax I'm sure. Why? I'm sure movie 7 will kill at the box office. For those who have read the books, we are just the big fans that want to see the movies as well. Then there is the majority of people who are too lazy to read so they go and see the movies. They will go and see the 7th movie then be so excited about the next part they will not only see the movie ASAP, but my guess is many of those fans will purchase the book and read it. Accumulating JKR even more money. That's how I would market it anyways.
