However, the segment on YouTube had an estimated 12,000 viewings in Argentina over the weekend. Former congressman Lorenzo Pepe, a supporter of Juan Peron, called on Argentina's broadcasting regulator to intervene. However it is not clear what action the regulator could take, having ruled out censorship. |
lol i agree with the simpsons though, peron was a real dictator in his 2nd government (sp?)

well, the ones who liked peron (most ppl actually) are of course not happy
but i dont like what i've heard of peron, well actually the thing is he was the president on two occassions, the 1st one he did things pretty well and in the second one no, he was quite the dictator the last time he governed, so i dont mind the joke
but most ppl dont think its good to censure it of course, even if they dont like it and, obviously, like the article says, everyone watched it or its going to watch it on internet anyway

hey i laugh at lil bush! (funny stuff their high recomend it  ) so they can learn to handle a joke right?? right?
(why do i think im gonna get flamed... as always..)

not from me you wont, but i bet you would be mad too if the simpsons said something awful about someone you admire, you have no idea how fervent some ppl are here in their devotion for peron and evita (his wife)

it hasnt been banned yet, but ppl are thinking on it because peron is loved by a big porcentage of the argentine population, not me though lol
its like the simpsons putting something against one of the best presidents of the usa (dunno you name one who's very loved there), but i dont think its going to be banned, ppl are going to watch it on the internet anyway arent they?

i was just putting that as an example, i mean that it would say something bad about someone very liked there in usa then im sure lot of ppl would complain, right? well thats what happening here

It would depend on the person in the US I think as to whether or not they'd get angry. I'm personally pretty hard to offend as far as humor goes but some people can't take a joke.

Despite the inappropriate comments of vasaver and iloveemma, who believe world is praising their wicked country, I'd be glad if americans show a little of coherence when expressing their ideas.
If you don't have them, don't participate. And yes, Perón set up a dictadorship which began in his first government. His policies looked for workers who obeyed his commands and increased rich's profits. Moreover he saved British government by giving argentinian gold as a gift for unuseful trains.
When he returned in 1973, he murdered students and workers in Ezeiza, agreeing with top classes. And started again to forbid strikes and that undesirable policy.
And if a peronist senator wants to ban Simpsons, well, come on Simpsons, let's watch them! |
