I have to admit, I'm a little excited! Gordon Ramsey makes me laugh.

I went to Red Rock casino and saw the restaurant that one chick opened there. I actually got some pictures of it, I will even try to post it up later, if I can.

I really liked that Waffle House chef a lot, too, the one who was good at making breakfasts... but she was such a sore loser that she completely lost my respect when she was asked to leave. Gordon offered her a chance of a lifetime, and she acted like it was some lame consolation prize. The other chefs would have killed for that chance. And when she came back to help the finalist, she kept crying and whinging... and she purposely slacked just because she was a sore loser. Yeah, I have no respect for her anymore, even though she was originally my favorite.

Kitchen Nightmares failed. They tried it in England, first, and it did fine. Here, not so much. The reason is, a few of the owners spoke out saying that they were humiliated. Apparantly the prodicerts of that show made the restaurants look worse than they were. They also hired people to be "guests." A few people also sold their restaurant with no other choice because their reputations were beyond tainted.

wow i didnt know that. you would think though that since gordon fixed it up more people would wanna go there.

at least it got to show how you have to be careful when picking a resteraunt. some of those places were just gross.

Well that's just it, a lot of the owners claimed the producers made the place look worse than it was. Not that it's any better. I heard NY was thinking about doing the same thing Vegas does... in Vegas they report in the papers what all the restaurants get in their inspections. Some of them do fine, others fail. But if they so much as see one fork out of place, they lose a point and the whole city reads about it. There is access to restraurant inspections, but having them in the papers would make it accessible to everyone much easier. And it would certainly give the owners a kick in the butt. However, one tiny mistake or overlook and their reputation is tainted.

It's scary, though... when you see a restaurant you just ate at on that list. It's even scarier when you work at that restaurant. It's worse when you are a manager there. And it's doesn't get any worse if you own it.

And yeah, I'm glad they got rid of who they did, such a an attitude.

Jenn annoyed the heck out of me, too.

I felt really bad for that one chick who burned herself... that's just awful. Is she going to be able to stay in the challenge?
