9! there was a time where it changed every year on my birthday...but for some reason it never moved on from 9. I just really like it Smile

whats up with favorite numbers? arent all numbers just the same? (well sure the values are different but as far as having a favorite is concerned theyre all the same). please do enlighten me on why people have favorite numbers...

Actually, people prefer numbers that are in some way associated with themselves. I read about this in the New York Times this morning. There was an article about how people feel a special kinmanship towards people with same or similar names.

This also tends to be the case with numbers. People like numbers that correspond with the amount of letter in their names, that fall inside of their birthdays, etc.

Some people think that this is completely bogus, but I realized that this even proved true for me. I had always liked the number five in particular. I have five letters in my first name (Jaime), I was born in the fifth month, and I was born in 85.

My best friend always loved the number 6. Her name had six letter (Carrie), and she was born in 86. We have both had a special liking for these numbers since we were children.
