There have been recent murmurs on the news about not only JKR writing her encyclopedia but that she also has considered the idea of writing an 8th book. This book is supposed to be about the adult lives of the characters. First off I am stoked to hear that she is considering this. Has anyone else heard this is possible? If so what do you know?

Also, even though I desperately want another book, as I was crushed when I finished Deathly Hallows, I think this is a big mistake for JKR. If she really wants to stop having to write all this, making 1 book about their adult lives will lead into her being almost Required to write more. It would be hard for her to make a story in one book. Look at this series. It took 7 books to cover a story.

On the bright side that would be great. We'd get a whole new series about Harry! Although I don't know if I'd read them if they were mainly focused on his kids. Closing in on a year after the release of Deathly Hallows and I still can't believe it's over. It had to end sometime but still.

she doesnt wanna say that she'll never make an 8th book, in case that something happens to change her mind in like 20 years from now, but she really doesnt mean to write another book besides the encyclopedia
