yeah, i hope a real hp fan will do them properly in about 20 years from now

it wouldnt need a real HP fan to make the films better 20 years down the line, cause everyone should be able what parts can be cut inorder to keep the films realistic to the books, i think that fact the Ootp missed so many important details was JKR was probably unwilling to divulge to much info,

I agree, I think the epilogue is good for a book, but not for a movie.

well what about those fans who dont read the books?
i no that may seem crazy (fans who dont read the books) but my sister is a fan and she dosent read the books, i have forced her to read the 6th before it comes out so she is reading it but she dosent enjoy reading the books as much as watching the movies.

so what about those hp movie fans? they will want to know what happens in the end. you just cant forget about them.

Haha, I agree. Voldemort was clearly too in love with himself to just be concise, and I think some of the most boring parts of the books are when he's verbally torturing people. Rolling Eyes

Also, *gasp*, you can't leave out the epilogue! That, to me, is one of THE most important parts of the entire series! You can't just have the movie end with
Spoiler:

Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the headmaster's office and Harry saying "That wand is more trouble than it's worth, and I've had enough trouble for a lifetime"

and then fade to black! Using that as the final scene just wouldn't feel right.

OMG that would be horrible!
it would be like saying "and they lived happily, ever after!" *sweet music*

GRR they have to put it in!

I guess as fas as the movies go:

If we are comfortable seeing the actors grow up on screen* then having them 'age' about 10-15 years wouldn't bee to much of a stretch.

I don't know what the average age of people here on these forums is - but unless you have spent your youth as a heavy smoker or drug user you dont look THAT old in your '30s!

Oh and none of the main characters seemed to have hereditary baldness/greyness in the family...

*Compare 'Cute Little Daniel' in Philosopher's Stone to 'Strapping Young Lad' in Order of the Phoenix! I mean, will they have to strap down Emma Watson's blossoming figure to make her look appropriate for her character's age?

a bit of computer magic and makeup and they'll be looking like old parents in a short matter of time. it works seriously good and it doesnt really look fake. i saw and indian movie and they sort of had an epilogue and they put white hairs a bit wrinkles and everything in using a computer and makeup. it looked really realistic

i think if you can create the illusion for someone to fly without making it look extremely tacky i think they can make them look older. becaue they will be older it will be easier, if they were younger it would be soo much harder, its just coz they have done most of their growing Very Happy

Yeah I agree. Without the camping part, there is no Ron leaving. With no Ron leaving, there is no Patronus appearing. Without that, they don't fight. Which would add to another important scene they cut out which involves Ron.

^ yes, that for one part, but i think she was referring to the description of the camping when nothing is really happening

that part to me is perfect in the book, because you can really feel them getting hopeless and weary, thats partly why ron leaves actually, because they start loosing the faith, doubting that they'll be able to do it because they're truly clueless

i think thats very well presented in book 7 and im really hoping to see a bit of it in the movie

I personally didn't like the ending of the last book. I love the way voldemort is killed and everything but I don't think J.K Rowling should have done an epilogue. I mean I know people want to know what happens when the grow up but I don't like the thought of them growing up so fast! Also it doesn't tell you anything about what they have done since they defeated voldemort. Like where do they work, and other things. I hope they leave out the epilogue in the film. And i can't wait to see the last film, I think it will be the best one ! Very Happy

I hope the leave in the epilogue in as well.

I suppose that it's a bit inherent that Harry's scar didn't hurt at all in the 19 year span since Voldy's death... but it'd be cool to see it like that.

CGI and make up will make the actors look older for the scene. Remember... they haven't even started shooting it yet. The actors are all over 18 now.

We still have two full movies to wait and watch for before that even becomes a factor.

Smile

I'd like it if they kept it in, but a little over or under 25/30 mintues. Anymore would be a bit to long for me.

Ooh, I agree with leaving out the epilogue. That would just be bizarre. I can't imagine who they'd get to play everyone. *shudders*

well it considering the fact that they can't bring new character for all those adult Hp Characters in the epilogue, that would look weird, so it might be good if they leave them out
