this explains why sirius' mum was so proud of being a black. I was always confused cuz I assumed she married in...but she was always a Black.

He would have been 35 or 36. Harry's parents were 21 when they died. Sirius was their age, so he would have been 21, too. Harry was fifteen when Sirius died (21+14=35) Depending on his birthday (this thread has me wishing that some one would have asked jo when his brithday was before now.), he would be 35 of 36.

I first saw a version of this on wikipedia, and had to look at it for quite some time until I realized that Regulus and Sirius were family names, on there several times. Shows how bright I am, looking at the very top, and going down, noticing the first occurrence of the name, and thinking, "that's not right...Sirius and Regulus were brothers!"
I think it's very interesting how the black family kind of links everyone together...the malfoys, weasleys, and potters indirectly, because of Sirius and James's friendship. |

It is believe that Charles and Dorea are not Harry's grandparents. The date of Dorea's death doesn't fir with James's parents in the stories. It is said that James's parents died of old age, but it wasn't when James was still in school.
This is what the lexicon says about it:
Harry's ancestors
Charlus Potter: Rowling's Black Family Tree mentions a Charlus Potter who was married to Dorea Black (1920-1977), a grandchild of Phineas Nigellus Black (BFT). They had one son (unnamed) (BFT).
It is doubtful that Charlus is Harry's grandfather because Jo has told us that "James's parents were elderly, were getting on a little when he was born, which explains the only child, very pampered, had-him-late-in-life-so-he's-an-extra-treasure, as often happens, I think. They were old in wizarding terms, and they died." (TLC) Dorea was only 57 when she died.

It means that Ted Lupin and James Potter would be second cousins. That would makes Harry Ted Lupin's third cousin, but Ted Lupin only Harry's second cousin.
This isn't a true relation, though, since Dorea and Charlus probably aren't HArry's grandparents.

They say that Arthur Weasley came from Cedrelia and Septimus Weasley line , but my favorite of all of them is Tonks , Sirus and Arthur Weasley .
