This i'm not sure if i can post it.. But I have seen worst things posted.. If i'm not tell me and I will take it down. (It's missing something but I cant quite figure it out.. Does anyone know what?)

Right.. But he did get his GED.. or is getting it now.. So that does not really matter. I know a lot of people that did not get their high school diploma.. They are not bad people. eg. My mom did not get hers..
anyway ..
Bery, He was on American Idol.. but did not make it to the top 24.. He's a really awesome singer.. Only 19 but he will get better as time goes on..

That's fine, if he wants to get his GED, then I have no problem with him being an American Idol. I do have a lot of issues with the fact that they allow people who don't have diplomas or GEDs to even try out for that show. I don't think that my country's "Idol" should be without one or the other. It's just not a realistiuc message to send to kids.
Oh, and BTW, my mom is a high school dopt-out, too. The end to that road isn't a pretty one. Fantasia already sets a bad enough example for the youth of American without adding another one to the bunch.

Yeah.. but he's an awesome singer. I don't know that could go either way.. What if the person could not finish school because someone got sick at that time. or something similar(I'm not saying that happened to Josiah..).. You don't really know people's stories.. even if they are on American Idol. You only get a small amount of their life.

^ come on. This is America that we're talking about. While I admit that there are still a few people who are forced to drop out of school for reason beyond their control, I don't think that we should be excusing the others for it. Besides, Josiah dropped out so that he could make music. That's not good enough. He had one year left, and then he could have lived out of his car. I'm glad that he's working on his GED, though -- esp. now that he has people looking up to him despite not making it past Hollywood week.

Oh, I'm not saying that about Josiah. I dont excuse him for dropping out.
My point was we dont know what people have went through in their lives even on shows like American Idol. (Unless they decide to broadcast it like Josiah did).

Well.. Just because you don't graduate High school does not mean your illiterate either. My mom for example again.. She can read faster then any person I know.. You know those huge Stephen king books.. She can read one of those in a day and half if she wanted to.. She could probably read the whole Harry Potter Series in 2 days.. and.. I graduated with a girl who could not read well.. about a 3rd or 4th grade level. She could not write much at all.. (I'm just saying you cant judge people by there cover. or be mad at them or dont like them for mistakes they make in the past.. Heh.. I'm going to be an awesome social worker.  )
anyway we should either continue this in pm or stop talking about it.. This is not the place.. lol
