and i think they did french kiss...cuz who stays there that long juss regular kissing???

Not what kind of kiss it is. It isn't important to the story. That fact that they kissed at all is whats important.

As I stated a couple of times above, I am not saying that it wasn't a french kiss, just that we don't know what kind of kiss it was for certain.

First I don't think Harry was such a dummy, needing someone tell him how to snog step by step. Who need someone to teach him/her things like that? It's just that your partner open his/her mouth and stick out his/her tongue a bit, then you mimic at once. It's almost an instinct to do so.

Second, it is very important to the story.
In case you didn't notice, all the books here begins with "HARRY POTTER and", not just PS/COS/POA... We left the first part of the books' titles just for convenient.

Everything about Harry is very important. If it isn't important, why would Rowling bother to waste 3 whole pages to have Ron and Hermione to discuss with him about his feeling towards this kiss and Cho? Is there anybody can find any kiss in the whole series could compare with this one?

How many lines are there for Ron and Hermione's kiss in DH, errrr, Starts from "Running to Ron...." to " ... their arms still around each other." There are only 8 to 9 lines, including Harry's voice "Oh! There's war going on here!" It seems like she wrote that kiss just to annoy Harry and make the situation sounds funnier.

You said, "I bet Cho taught him how to do it by demostrating it herself."
Now you completely contradicted yourself with your most recent statement.

Do you really have to talk when you are demonstrating something, especially a kiss? Why not just take action?

Actions speak louder than words.

I have no idea what you are talking about. I never said anything about Harry needing lessons in kissing. You did, not me.

Didn't Ginny mention that Harry snogged Cho in HBP? When I get to that part, I'll post the direct wuote, but I'm almost point, I'll post the direct quote, but maybe I remember it wrong. I'm almost positive that snogging involved direct tongue. Maybe it is to be assumed that it was a french kiss . . . do they use that term in Europe? IT just doesn't seem to work for HP.

She did mention it in HBP but Harry didn`t snog Cho in HBP, it was OotP. I read that part recently as I`m rereading HBP.

First of all, I can't believe that you made any sense of that post. Second of all, I know he didn't snog her in HBP. My point was that Ginny mentioned it specifically as snogging, I think.

Rolling Eyes well I thought you maybe meant something else by that.

i dont know about cho though

Cho is definately the type to kiss and tell.

Why would she do that? She's already got enough attention. She's very popular in her house. Remember? And she didn't seem to need money so badly.

Dude, what are you going on about money for? I didn't say that she freaking sold an interview to the prophet. Also, you apparently didn't read my last post. Here is what I said:

Quote:
Well, I didn't mean that like it's a bad thing. I mean, what is there to tell about a freaking kiss. She is just the type to let her her emotions show and gush about things.

You can't deny that Cho is the type to let hew emotions show. She could very well have gone back and told Padma and Merietta all about her kiss. Padma could have told Parvatti, and Ginny could have overheard that conversation. There are a million other scenarios that could have happened.

When Fleur kissed him on the cheek, wasn't that a French kiss?

What? That's not what it means?

Usually when you said someone kiss and tell, it means he or she talks on television, in a newspaper, etc. about a sexual relationship you have had with a famous person, especially in order to get a lot of money. (from Cambridge dictionary)

Well, in the US, when you say "kiss and tell" it means to kiss, then tell. Money isn't usually a factor.
Quote:
Merriam-Webster's Dictionary
kiss and tell
One entry found.

kiss-and-tell
Main Entry: kiss–and–tell
Function: adjective
Date: circa 1948
: telling details of private matters <kiss–and–tell autobiographies>

I see. I don't know you guys using the term differently from British. But I would rather stick to the dictionary of UK because the writer is from UK.

Ok, that would work if this were a term used from the writer's PoV. Infortunately, I brought up the kiss and tell subject, so it's being used from an American perspective in this case.

No, but I think that my perception of the phrase "kiss and tell" is wuite US. Why are you always jumping to conclusions about me?

Good, just want to make sure you won't miss any subtle clues in the books.
