Well, after reading Deathly Hallows you will understand why everyone adores Snape so much. And why I want to give James Plotter a kick in the balls for being a [insert heavy insult here]. _________________ Fools are invincible...
Well... personally, I don't see what makes Snape look like a cupcake after Deathly Hallows...
Spoiler:
All he does is say that he protects Harry because he loved his mother (that motherf***er...) and that he killed Dumbledore because Dumbledore told him so...
I really don't see why he's now supposed to be some sort of a hero... _________________ http://z4.invisionfree.com/HPX/ - Looking for more members!
I think we were supposed to build up this awful hate for Snape...only to see his good side in the next book Everyone say aww.
mhm. I love the way you put it. You`re right. I think it was so the shock moment of Snape being on the good side would be even bigger. _________________
I have to say I never liked snape to begin with but that everybody I think, but even after we learned the truth I still didn't care from him much. _________________ Me? I never really liked Snape (nor do I now), but I started feeling sorry for him right around when the fifth book came out because there's that thing with the Occlumency and what not.
That's about as much feeling I have for the guy as I can really get because he isn't all that peachy keen. _________________ "I reside in the clouds."

The reason why everybody loves Snape is because Everyone... in their own life... has seen someone who has the same fate as Snape. Being bullied by people, grows up to be kinda pitiful and all hard crack ass type. And girls totally dig the bad boy attitude. _________________ 10 and 1/2in, Cedar and Unicorn Hair
I actually didn't care for him much either until that little bit with the Occlumency lessons in book five. Before that, he was made to the look like the bad guy because he was always really nasty to Harry. We never saw why that was until then. I think Ms. Rowling is presenting his story to us this way on purpose. I mean, she makes him look like the bad guy, then makes him the victim. Then she makes him look like the bad guy again, but when she does it the second time, you pity him a little more than you did the first time around and you doubt how bad he really is. When he comes through as sort of a good guy again, you get the, "Aw, see, I knew he couldn't be all bad," sort of feeling.
