Well, he wasn't really as human anymore. I mean, he had lost so much of his humanity by making those Horcruxes... Plus, when Nagini bit Arthur the stitches didn't work. Hermione suggested that perhaps something in the snake venom was keeping the stitches from staying together. It would be interesting that what could kill Arthur, would be the same thing that would give Vapormort sustenance. _________________

Also, Voldemort didn't have a body. He was giving his soul a physical residence until he could resurrect a body for himself. I don't know what the magic was, but I remember reading about it somewhere in GoF. I'm pretty sure that Voldemort made the spell or whatever that kept him alive. Apparently it involved the venom of Nagini. _________________

I was soon returned to an almost human form, and strong enough to travel. |
Conclusions: 1. It was indeed venom. 2. It was used as part of a potion, and probably the Unicorn blood (or some other ingredient) worked as an antidote against the poison. 3. Voldemort did have a body of some sort. _________________ "I can make things move without touching them. I can make bad things happen to people who are mean to me." -- Tom Riddle (HBP movie).

That is the bit that I was referring to earlier. What I meant when I said that Voldemort didn't have a body was that he had to have a temporary not-really-human body concocted for him. _________________

I think that he drank the 'snake milk' in a potion and it made him a little stronger while he didn't have a normal body for all of those years. _________________

I watch animal planet so I knew what it meant. I just believe that since Voldemort is mostly snake that he feeds on the venom of his magical snake. _________________

1) You can actually "Milk" a snake by covering a small cup with rubbery seal thing, force the snake's fangs to puncture the covering and then it gets angry, so the venom it spits leaks into the cup. We muggles (lol) can use it as an antidote to other snake and spider bites. But they'd probably use it in a strengthening potion.
Click <- This is what snake-milking looks like
2) I think Vdmt had a kind-of body. I think he had the one described in book 7, when his soul is at king's cross. (He is shown in the movie I think, and he looks about 1 ft tall, and all scaly and yuck, lol. _________________ ../|\
