You need to stop a movie at a good point.. a point thatis a cliffhanger, but noting too dramatic. And you need to starta movie before there is a major conflict, not in the middle of one. Finding the perfect moment is tough....It's an art, really.

Well i think the best part to do that is when they infiltrate malfoy manor to save Ollivander

They don't infiltrate the manor, they get captured. They had no intentions of saving Ollivander, they were captured themselves.

Sorry but i havent read the book since it was released in July last year so im hazy on the facts but you know what i mean dont you?

Yeah, I know what scene you mean, but infiltrated and captured are two totally different things and change the whole tone of a scene. So that's why I was just making sure what you meant.

Anyway i think that would be the best place to halve it as that is where the book is really cliffhanger if you know what i mean

I hope the two parts, Part I and Part II, of Deathly Hallows are at the very least 2 hours long if not longer.

What do you think?

Yeah I reckon...I want everything. It IS after all the last one and it would be nice if it had as much as possible in it unlike some- sorry did I say some- ALL of the previous films.

When I first heard about DH being split into two parts, I figured the whole point of it was to include as much detail from the book as is humanly possible. I'd be pissed if each part wasn't AT LEAST two hours long. I mean, come on, this is the end of the series, it has to be frigging epic. And I think it should stay as close to the movie as possible.

And for my money, I think they should split it at the scene where Harry, Ron, & Hermione are at Lovegood's house and Hermione's just gotten done reading The Tale of the Three Brothers. She closes the book and Xenophilus says "Well, there you are. Those are the Deathly Hallows."

Then *poof,* the screen goes black and the credits roll. That scene is right about halfway through the book, and it would make for an EXCELLENT cliffhanger ending to the movie.

My guess is that probably they will be under 2 hours apiece - you can only extend a blow-by-blow so long... Wink

But you-all MAY have a point.

& I agree with the poster above me (sorry don't have the name in front of me, har!)

mmm. at least 2 hours each. anything less will be very dispointing.

i intially thought it should or would be split at the ron leaving moment. but now that i think about it. the moment you (JulieBaby83) mentioned would be just as good. but its futher on in the movie. so it might unbalance the squencing, and movie length.

... and i dont want the first part to be like 2 and a half hours and the last part to be 1 and a half..it wouldnt feel right.

O.K. I think the 2 movies should be at least 2hrs. 45min. long or i too would have to personally CRUCIO Mr. Yates. and yes this would be his big chance at redemption after OotP. that movie was good but i was P.O.'d when they took all the good parts out and also @ christmas they didnt even show St. Mungos. i would've loved to see Lockhart insane more than just 5 sec. in CoS + i wanted to see Nevilles parents. Evil or Very Mad

I think a manageable time would be 2 hrs and 30 mins for part one and 3 hours for part 2

Wasn't the point in making it into two films so that they wouldn't leave anything out? If so, I could never think that they would be less then 2 hours each. Perhaps 150 minutes each making it 5 hours in total. That would be more like it.

The future will tell. Hopefully it will be a saga to remember for many years to come.

I would like to see each movie at least 2 hours each.
It would be great and gives us more then just an normal 1 hour and 20 minute movie.

When the fast part comes out, I will be packed in line first!

For any of the Harry Potter or Pirates of the Caribbean, we get there about an hour early and we are usually 1st or 2nd in line. Then my brother and I race other people to the seats we want and win Smile

Are the 2 movies coming out the same time or are they coming out in different times?

It's only half a year apart surprisingly. We come from a big town with about over 50,000 people. Once we had to go into the second cinema to watch it. Because the first was packed. But the second was only half full gladly. Narnia was packed aswell.

I wonder if the first dvd will be out before the second part hits theatres. that could help with people remembering.
