^lol Shocked nope.

Wiki says:

''No, Soulja Boy is not dead. There are a lot of rumors about it, such as he was at a party and he got drunk and was singing his song and on the superman part he jumped off of a balcony, and that he and his mother were in a car crash and both died. But neither is true. Soulja boy is alive. He is not dead - they are just rumors. His mother is also alive and well.

The rumor about him jumping to his death while singing his Superman song is similar to rumors that Bobby McFerrin (singer of Don't Worry, Be Happy) killed himself, or that Meatloaf died from bad meatloaf. People felt these rumors were so ironic that they had to be true. However, they're all false.''

and Wiki is always right Cool

Ghetto means something deferent then most people think. The first ghettos were actually Jewish families.

...

They were not "Jewish familes" they were places the Jews were sent to. I had actually linked Kevin to a bunch of those articles in another thread a few months ago.
Anyway, that is why I used the slang definitions and kept the technical definitions seperate.

In case anyone is wondering...
The term "ghetto" originated from the name of the Jewish quarter in Venice, established in 1516, in which the Venetian authorities compelled the city's Jews to live. Various authorities, ranging from local municipal authorities to the Austrian Emperor Charles V, ordered the creation of other ghettos for Jews in Frankfurt, Rome, Prague, and other cities in the 16th and 17th centuries.

See full article here.

Right, but the Jewish families weren't "ghetto." The places they lived in were called that. That is a big deifference.
But I know what you were trying to say, about the original meaning of the word and I love you for that. Very Happy

Wikipedia doesn't have "proper" sources. So you don't know if it is right.

no trying to shock u, it's just a couple kids got jumped last year 4 saying that and then there was a fight about some kid not knowing where the ghetto was and saying that the hood was better. **shrug** that's just another noraml occurance in Savannah.

Cho Chang200, most threads end up talking about things not in the title and wel.... it gave us a chance to disscuse some interesting points of views.
