in the POA movie when wormtail is turned into a person he has clothes but when he turns back into a rat he leaves his clothes behind.

yes they seem to be inconsistent there. jk never wrote about clothes staying behind. I imagine they sort of...exist in a pocket dimension. if that makes any sense. I don't know how to describe it. wands seem to do that too. but of course they messed it up in the movie  _________________

I saw it the same way in the books. Of course, the way that the movie does it doesn't bother me half as much as other mishaps. It's one of those things that I just shrug off. _________________

I like the answer you gave above... It's magic! A lot does have to do with suspension of disbelief, but more importantly, it's a freakin fantasy book with witches and goblins and stuff... it's magic! _________________
