i was reading this book today... and i just felt something...

in this chapter.. when trelawney just begins with her class... while giving introduction about her subject ..she suddenly asks parvati to be-ware of a red haired man.. and 'she gives a startled look at ron'..

dont you agree..if she would have said this lavander..this would have made much more sense... and actually a sort of prediction in POA itself..

i dont know.. but it just kinda made me think..it would have been much more fun to read POA now and find lavander's name there... and this advice being given to lavander instead of parvati...

P.S.... what harm did Ron do to Parvati.. Confused

It would seem like Ron harmed Parvati the least... BUT....

Besides dumping Lavander, he also treated Padma like crap at the Yule Ball.
So not only did he treat Parvati's best friend like crap, he also treated her sister like crap, too. Parvati, being the best friend and sister, was the one who had to deal with the fall-out of both dating disasters. So it is true that Parvati needed to beware of the red-haired boy... because he was going to hurt her bestfriend and sister.

. . . or you could just look at it this way. Trelawney was a Fraud and her predictions were bogus. She made them so that it was impossible for them NOT to come true. At some point in time, ad red-haird man was bound to wrong Parvatti in some way or another.

I thought that Jo stressed this point tremendously! Why are people still trying to make sene of her "predictions."

lol I agree with zenny. for the most part she was a fraud. when she was trying that is. but every so often she'd go into a trance and really predict, but she didn't remember it. her cards also tried to warn her of the events in hbp, but she didn't believe them. she was right when she said "the inner eye cannot see upon command", it just sort of happens and I think it has nothing to do with her at all. she's just the receiver of whatever is sending the information.
