Okay, there is this one thing I don't get in the Deathly Hallows. Harry basically finds out that Snape had a thing for his(Harry's) mom. I mean, wouldn't most people be creeped out if they learned that one of their teachers (particularly their least favorite teacher) had a thing for their mom? Snape being a spy against the Death Eaters ever since he learned of Lily and James' fate doesn't make this any less creepy. Why wasn't Harry more creeped out by this? Confused

yes but he ALSO found out that he MUST die,so it wasn't important for harry that snape had a crush on his mom (they are both dead)...when he found out that he must die he didn't care about anything else

I know, but after that he still didn't seem to have a problem with it. He named his kid after Snape! I mean, wow. He just didn't seem affected by that AT ALL, even after the whole near-death experience and defeating Voldemort thing was over.

i don't think it was creepy at all. i never like the snapeloveslily idea because it had always been put to me as a stalkeresque sort of relationship, but rowling made them friends first which made it acceptable to me. he really did care for lily, don't see how thats creepy.

If anything i would think harry would be more understanding about how snape always hated him...because he was the person he loved's love child. Harry would have understood i think as it didnt say snape tried anything after Lily got with james

I think that when Harry first found about about Snape loving Lily he was way to pre-occupied to dwell on such things. And later on.... it wasn't that creepy. In my opinion, the fact that Snape was willing to die for her memory and all that, made it less than creepy for Harry.

its not what the content mattered..its was how it was told... or in this case how harry came to know about it..if harry would have found out only about the fact that he liked lily.. he might have felt some ill emotions for snape..

but he also found out..how snape had been tryin to preotect harry all these years.. even though only for lily..but still... he never wanted harry to die..

and then.. snape was lily's best friend..so the feelings snape had very more like obious.. any guy can fall for her only and most closest female friend..

and yes.. he had other things on his mind too.. moreover he found out..."how brave as a person snape was"... and afterall... he found out the secret to dumbledore's death.. and also the secret of killing voldy finally..... (as in the seventh horcrux)...
