I would rather a guy spend time and thought on a ring and pick something that really suits me, rather than spend a lot of money. I can't tell a cheap ring from an expensive ring, nor do I even care for diamonds.
Per the story - did they say how big a balloon it was? If it was a bigger size balloon, it may have contained enough helium to float a ring. _________________ I don't have a lot of experience with vampires, but I have hunted werewolves. I shot one once. oh ive no idea... but yeah, id rather that he use that money on something we can both enjoy... like a trip.
actually id feel a little awkward if they guy spends too much on me.. especially if it is on stuff that only i can enjoy... and ill feel all the more awkward if it is an expensive piece of jewelry. i dont wanna be made to feel like im only after his bank account _________________
How does the weight of a diamond ring compare to the weight of those little plastic tags they use to hold helium balloons down? I think if the wind was very strong it probably could have overcome the weight of the ring.
That's another thing . . . why didn't this guys have a weight secured to the bottom of this balloon? Also. I still think that the weight of a $12k ring would be at least equal to the weight of those little plastic things.
lol, I found thisquote on another site that is discussing this. I wandered in there, because I saw a debate of whether the balloon would float away with a $12k ring inside of it. I'm still no convinced. Anyway, I thought that you guys might appreciate what this person had to say

A 12k ring isn't necassarily heavy. Price has nothing to do with the weight. Things like cut, clarity and color ups the price. Diamonds don't weight much, and since we don't kow how heavy it wasor how much helium was used, we don't know if the ring would weigh the balloon down or not. Even if this ring was several karats, the weight still wouldn't be that much altered. Again, it would also depend on other factors, like the amount of helium, size of the ballon, and the wind factor. _________________ Blame it on a simple twist of fate. ~ Bob Dylan

Also as I said above, why didn't he have a weight attached to the balloon? This story seems too shady to me. I _________________
