i think in the first book it was mentioned that during the Christmas break, Harry and Ron were plotting ways to get Malfoy expelled, even if they were stupid... so what do you imagine were their silly plots?
1. burn a portion of the castle and blame it on malfoy
2. steal a test paper and blame it on malfoy
3. copy his test paper and claim that he was copying you instead
what else?

^yeah, now that they know the slytherin common room and they can use polyjuice and invisibility cloaks
tell peeves to wreck the place and blame it on malfoy
imperius malfoy and make him push snape outta the window
imperius malfoy and make him crucio goyle
put a dead body inside his school trunk
take polyjuice and take on the face of malfoy and shout cuss words at mcG and DD.
