I'd always heard a bit of them, but I needed music to occupy my studies tonight so I youtubed a bunch of their songs and have increased my fanship haha. I'd suggest this band and Within Temptation to any of you who like Evanescence.

I hear a lot of annette hate going on, but I don't think she's even comparable with Tarja. their voices are so different. I like them both. in case you don't know what I'm talking about Tarja was the original vocalist but she got kicked out (not sure why) and now they have Annette.

I love Nightwish (Eva's a gorgeous song).

Annette isn't Tarja and has a much different sound, but I don't hate her. She's just different. Tarja got fired because apparently the rest of the band believed she'd gotten to caring too much about the money and was putting herself before the band - something to that effect. I think they explain it all on their website.

I like Nightwish, they are amazing live. Im not so much a fan of the new singer though.

I lost interest in Nightwish after Tarja left. I did listen to their new songs but they failed to grow on me.
I love Within Temptation, although not a fan of Evanescence

I love Nightwish's music. Anette Olzon is way much better then Tarja, I didn't like her at all. Too much Opera voice for me. These new are better. Maybe best songs are Amaranth, For The Heart I Once Had and Sahara. I don't own any CD's :(

Bye Bye Beautiful is an awesome song, but Tarja has made a few awesome songs too... to be honest, I like her more than Anette, but Anette doesn't suck...

Ghost Love Score is one of my personal favorite Nightwish songs. The complexity and variation in it makes it almost like listening to a piece of classical music.

I love Nightwish. I like Annette and Tarja, but in my opinion Tarja's songs are better. My favorite songs include I wish I had an angel, bye bye beautiful, bless the child, end of all hope, over the hills and far away, and amaranth.
