Could they apparate around Hogwarts, like from Potions to Charms and other classes in the building?

im sure fred and george tried to apparate around the school. if they ever succeeded im sure jk would have written of their success!!

i think its for the best they cant apparate in school.. poor teacher chasing after them then pop theyre somewhere else in the school... i guess they would get their exercise!! lol

yeah, i wonder what happens if you try to apparate in Hogwarts, does nothing happen or does it have another effect?

prolly feel a painful jolt like yor body just stretched five feet bc you performed a spell where you were supposed to go somewhere but it couldnt so it used its energy on your body..

Maybe you just apparate to right outside the gates of Hogwarts. If you're already there then nothing happens I guess.

nah if that was the case, when snape killed dd he woulda just apparated right there instead of running to the gate.

Do you remember when Harry took apparating lessons? It mentioned that it had to take down the anti-apparating charm in the great hall during lessons. Wink

if you try to apparate i don't think anything happens. you'd probably just stand there looking like an idiot....

k ~goes back a few chapters~ if you could apparate into hogwarts then harry would have done that with DD at the end of hbp. but he couldnt and had to go apparate into hogsmeade.

I think not just the elves can, but also DD. He's the headmaster who held the key or password or some kind of incantation. He just didn't use it often.

The sixth year students had classes and practised inside Hogwarts.

Maybe they couldn't apparate from Hogwarts to other places but could do it inside Hogwarts.

How did DD escape in OotP? Did he just get help from the phoenix? Or he used his privilage of being the headmaster?
