Have you checked Norton Anitvirus in the first place no offense but if u didn't. If u didn't i would recommend check it now

and last it does remove virus, spyware, adware

wait till i scan my pc ull see if it does the trick and removes it or not ill show u a screenshot of it

I have some old corporate version of Symantec Anti-Virus. That's all I really use. I don't surf to random websites that much, and I don't use any of the sites that can really lead to viruses, spyware, trojans, etc. I prefer not having to deal with the hassle and system resources taken up by anti-virus or spyware programs. I don't recommend this method, but it has worked for me. I haven't had a virus or a major intrusive piece of spyware in about 5 1/2 years.

I am glade you got rid of this pain, but see how long it took Norton to remove it?
who knows, maybe it was not even Norton that took it off.

Your very VERY VERY lucky then!! Laughing

I mean not having been infected with anything, it always worth having something to act as a breaker between the virus and your files etc.

Just an alert really so you know something up otherwise oneday you log on and "beeeeeeep blue screen blue screen".

@sweet: you have to allow the programs in your firewall. if you do that, it should work fine. Also check your modem/router's firewall.

I use AVG, it blocks all that needs blocking, and for the rest i don't notice it at all.

for ad/spyware, i use AdAware 2007, it's a bit heavier than AAW se Personal, but really gets rid of some mess.

I use McAfee VirusScan. I just love the program because my dad's bank uses the same program to keep their PCs safe from hackers and viruses, and I just feel safe with it on my PC.
