|
well... as i saw the 4 movies before reading the books. i realised it after the awkward handshake..between them at the end of 2nd movie...
im not sure if this topic has been posted before or not..
but i was just curious to know as in..
when did ron realise in the books that he likes hermione..
when did hermione realise it...
and ofcourse...did u realise before they did... and when...?? 
P.S. actually i had been busy with

I had seen the first two movies on tv.
After I saw the second movie I thought it was going to be Harry and Hermione because of the awkward handshake... I admit, I was a bit slow, lol.
The next day after seeing the movie CoS I mentioned it to a friend and he was like, "No, it's going to be Ron and Hermione." And I asked, what about Harry, he has to have someone. And told me Harry was going to end up with Ron's sister.
A few years later I saw Prisoner of Azkaban on HBO and I was like, "Ohhhh, now I know what he was talking about." That was about two years ago.

no you werent, i dont remember there being any ron/hermy clues in the 2nd movie

no you werent, i dont remember there being any ron/hermy clues in the 2nd movie |
Chris Columbus put in that awkward handshake as a clue for us, according to JKR. But it went straight over my head the first time I saw it.

well it definitely wasnt as obvious as the third movie, u would've been dumb if u hadnt realized there lol

I wasn't thinking too much about future relationships when I read the first book. I want to say that when I was new to HP that I thought it might be Harry and Hermione, but somewhere along the way (I dont remeber why) it just became common knowledge, for me, that Ron would get with Hermione.
Before I had read the last 3 books and had only seen movies 1 - 4, I remember my sister telling me she thought Harry would whined up with Ginny. My first reaction was, "NO WAY," and Im not even sure why. Eventually, somewhere along the way I became accustomed to that relationship too.

well true.. actually for me the first six books were already spoiled before i read them...
nyway.. n when do u think ron and hermione realised about their feelings ...??

Well, I think for Hermione it was around the thirrd book, the way she was so distraught about losing Harry and Ron as friends... she seemed more upet about having Ron mad at her. And when Ron was impressed with her nerve for smacking Draco and fetching the cloak, she turned pink with pleasure. And I think for Ron... well, I think he started wondering about her in PoA, he seemed so impressed by her nerve when she smacked Draco and went and got the Cloak. But I don't think he realised his feelings until well into GoF. I think he started thinking about her differently before then, but as for really liking her, I think it took him a bit of time to realise what he was feeling was no longer friendship, but love.

Because Krum asked her first and Ron didn't.

It wasn't as if Ron ws begging her to go out. Perhaps she tried to move on, as she encouraged Ginny to do.
Hermione and Krum remained penpals for awhile, too. He seems like a nice guy, it wouldn't be surprising had they remained friends.

mmm, could be, i guess
in my opinion, they started having feelings for each other in the third book, but it took them quite a while to realize, because pride would get in the way and those feelings might have been confused with friendship
i dont think they realized before OotP, at least

I realized during the second book. There were so many little hints sprinkled in there, but the real kicker was when Ron cursed himself in defense of Hermione. Ron was rather laid back, and he usually only got really upset when people offended either his mother -- or Hermione.

well, i realised before i had finnished the first book. that wasn't because i was observant though. i was too young to really be thinking about wat characters would get together (hp was the first book i read that didn't have any pictures in it) but my sister had already read the second by the time i started the first and she told me she reckoned ron and hermione would get together.
i reckon they didn't realise it fully until the sixth book though. they probably started to notice different feelings earlier but i don't think they properly realised they liked each other that way until book 6.

They are in Ron's reactions mostly. I didn't mark them in the books, so I can't pull them out for you. They are very subtle.
