did u found her a bit annoying, you know for her general nerdiness lol, at the start of the book?

i did really, like harry and ron, she was waaaay too bossy and nerd but noooo not because she's good in school but because she would tell on ron and harry for breaking the rules, thats just sad

of course then she relaxed a bit and wasnt so exhasperating, and now she has really grown on me, i like her a lot, she's good and caring and can be funny every now and then

but i have to admit that in those first chapters i found her to be a nuisance Rolling Eyes

I always liked her. I saw her as a young girl, nervous about starting her firstday at school... probably never been away from home before, determined to do well. JKR said that Hermione might have been over compensating. Here she was, a muggle-born surrounded by others who have grown up in the wizarding world. She probably got her books and poured them over, making sure she would not make a fool of herself. I really see her correcting Ron in Charms class as her just trying to help him, although it came across as her being patronizing. I saw her raising her hand in class, not as a way to brag to other students, but more to show that she was not some lost and helpless muggle-born girl, but a hard-worker not afraid of a challenge.
When she became friends with Ron and Harry after the troll, I was so happy for her. Finally, she had made some friends and she could finally have a chance to feel she belonged.

it didnt annoy me the fact that she did well in school and dedicated herself to that, otherwise she would still annoy me lol
she annoyed me when she was all bossy at first, but then she turned it down a bit thank god Laughing

I voted that I always liked her earlier, but I wasn't in the mood to make a whole speech. Ginny pretty much summed up my feelings about Hermione.

I always liked her. I liked her know-it-all attitude and the fact that she was so confident despite the fact she was from a muggle family. I enjoyed that she became friends with Ron and Harry after the troll, but I thought she was great from the beginning. Her attitude is what makes her Hermione!

I didn't see her as being stukc-up, just...lost. I felt bad for her. She had no friends, she was only trying to be a good student. I think she just took things too far is all.

She was a bit annoying, but I dont think she was intentionally trying to annoy. I felt awful for her when she was reduced to tears. Her crying about it was what made me think that she really didn't intend to be considered bossy or annoying. If she was so stuck-up, she would have justrolled her eyes and continued on. But she was genuinely upset abotu what people thought because she hadn't meant to be so alone.

She annoyed me a bit in The 1st book but in The Deathly Hallows she was really annoying, telling Harry what is wand did and didnt do though she wasnt there. Also the bit where she said Harrys stolen wand shouldnt affect how he done magic she told him so, at least Harry had the decency to not say anything when she was having trouble using her stolen wand

I have always liked Hermione. It wasn't annoying for me, that she knows so much things or was a little bit bossy. But I liked her also more after the trolly thing.

well of course she still always remained a bit bossy

but i didnt mind that very much in the 7th book, they were all stressed and getting hopeless so the worst of them all was bound to come out

i want to see if Hermionew can actually burn/bin/desicrate a book. the emotional turmoil she would go through would probably give her a better outlook on life
