I know, that pendulum doesn't really illuminate the 'ancient' feeling of Hogwarts. A large hour glass would've done it nicely.

I also felt that the radio used in the movie was a bit annoying. I don't remember them using a radio in Hogwarts, it sort of drifts away from the realism of Hogwarts in JK Rowling's eyes.

And, I was annoyed that the Trio found so much time changing into their casual clothings during a time when Sirius was possibly dead in the Department of Mysteries. Harry was desperate to go to Sirirus' rescue, and yet they changed! ARGH!!! This part lacked a bit of logic in my opinion. I preferred them wearing their school robes to fly to the Ministry, just to sustain that Hogwarts continuity. But oh well... its been done and there's nothing we can do to change it eh? *sigh*

I think what ruined the movie is blatantly obvious...

Spoiler:

David Yates.

I agree. I think that with a differernt director would have made a better movie. I just went and saw Spiderwich Cronicles, it's a G rated movie and it had me on the end of the chair lol I think Matt --- {forget his last name} should direct the last movie when it comes out he will give everyone a suprise in what he would do with it.

I was more upset about their muggle clothes at the beginning of the film. What were they doing not being in their robes when they got off the Hogwarts train? And they headed off to Hogwarts in those muggle clothes. Did the director... the actors... anyone speak up and say, "I think we're all wearing the wrong costumes?"

I think you are absolutely right. I realize that starting from Prisoner of Azkaban they started wearing new and specially muggle clothes. I mean look at Harry , where the hell does he get those new clothes, pant and even new shoes. I know director buys him clothes everyday.

GAHH TELL ME ABOUT IT. Ever since PoA drifted away from the originality of the films, you can feel how disjointed the movies were going to be! It's weird cos if they're wearing their muggle clothes, how the hell did they change into their robes in time to have the feast and everything!!

And lol @ your first post GinnyX cos I 100% agree with you.

i frankly didn't think that pendulum helped anything in the movie, it didn't look all that great and it didn't really help capture the spirit of Hogwarts.

It was mostly continunity stuff for me! And for the record i dont have a problem with the pendulum, it was cool, big and grandiose. Also LOVED GoF movie more than OotF. Liked OotF book better than the GoF bood though.

Ok so i didnt like this movie cause i could NOT get past how the frakin director did the sirius fire place scene. It just wasnt right, what they couldnt b bothered doing it the same way in the PoA film. Also to a much lesser extent the Death Eater masks where not the same as in GoF, this only mildly erked me cause we didnt see much of either.

Lets just hope Yates doesnt butcher HBP, it he does im hunting hime down and will wail on his arse. Twisted Evil
