This problem is unrelated to your account. Any problems you may be having would still occur with a different account.

The more details you can post, the more likely I can explain what is going on. Based off of what you said so far, you may have some corrupted cookies or your session entries may be messed up. I would usually tell you to delete your cookies, but this can be a pain because it would remove your saved logins on all sites. How long as this been occuring? I would recommend just waiting and seeing if the problem will go away.

Try these things to see if they resolve the issue:

1.) Log in, then manually log out of the site.
2.) Try using the site with a different web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc) and see if the problem exists.
3.) Restart your computer.

If you have Firefox you can select the Potterforums cookies and delete them manually. What Web browser do you use ?

It probably is the cookies. That happened to me before. The cookies corrupt and screws up your account.

If you are continuing to have major problems, please try these steps:

For Internet Explorer 7:

1.) In Internet Explorer, go to the Tools menu and select Delete Browsing History.
2.) Click on Delete Cookies.

If you are using a different browser, the steps will be slightly different. In IE 6, you need to go to Tools > Internet Options and I believe it is in the first tab.
