Well, I dont know if I'm right. But Hermoine should have been in Ravenclaw because she is very intelligent and clever...but she isnt that brave. So, who agrees with me?

jo said hermy was very inteligent but that her courage surpased it, so yeah she would've fitted alright in ravenclaw but gryffindor suits her as well
she also said herself that the sorting hat had considered putting her in ravenclaw

She went along with Harry to hunt down Voldy's horcruxes. And you call that isn't brave?
What would happen if Voldy knew what they were up to? |

well.. she had been fighting and putting her life in danger right from her first year for harry... ishe could have comfortably lived in hogwarts castle like other students... i belive she was too brave ...fighting for her frndz...
imagine urself doing all that/...?? dementors.. n standing right against Dark lord... fighting death eaters/...
it scares hell out of any one.. but she never stepped back..
i truly belive she was very brave...

Many Theories. She was very smart, but when Harry had Half-Blood Prince's Book, she said that he shouldnt have it with him. And when Harry wanted to go save Sirius and wanted to go to Godric's Hollow, she didnt want them too. So, whats up with that?

Didn't Hermione say she had read about Harry in books and would have probably had a good idea where he had been.

Guys, it's because Hermione did some background reading. PS p.117 (UK copy) She had asked around and she hoped she could be in Gryffindor. It sounded the best. She heard DD himself was the one.
That means she loves DD.  |

Lol. And to who ever was doubting Hermione's braveness, WOULD YOU HAVE THE COURAGE AND THE BRAVENESS TO MAKE YOUR PARENTS FORGET THEY HAD A CHILD? She did that to protect herself and her parents, we don't even know if she met back up with her parents and lifted the spell. SO who isn't brave? (Just thought I'd make a point.)

Reading about Harry Potter in no way dictated what house he will fall in. She read about what happened to him as a baby. The wizarding world had no clue what happened to him in the years that he spent at the Dursley's. He could have been a braniac with no bravery at all. He could have been an ambitioug git who could care less about others. He could have been a people peron who treasured loyalty above all else.
Hermine knew very little about Harry, and the short rub-in with him on the train told her very little about him.

Hermione was very smart. She was also hard-working and loyal. Does that mean she should have been sorted into Hufflepuff? She was very cunning, does she also belong in Slytherin?

Hermione was meant to be in Gryffindor because she was Brave. Not because she asked the Sorting Hat, because she was put in there.

If that was the case then why wasn't she placed in Ravenclaw because she was extremely intelligent. Or Hufflepuff for being Loyal?
