So, I just read the 7 books in the past 2 weeks, my main language is Dutch. So my knowledge of Harry Potter is (very) limited so is my (ab)use of the English language.
Tales from Hogwarts
King's Cross station
"Come on now Junior, you don't want to be late now do you?" "No Granny", he answered, still hauling the large trunk beside him. “The letter said to be at the station at 11 o'clock and your uncle is nowhere to be seen."
Junior let out a heavy sigh while still pulling his trunk behind him. His uncle, he thought, Uncle Harry of whose existence he just knew now for about a year. He looked around for his sister and his father to join them. Poor dad, he thought. Although his trunk wasn’t small by any means, his sister’s was huge in comparison. Serves him right, spoiling her all the time.
“There you are Harry, thanks for helping us with Junior and Christina.”
“Not to worry, aunt Petunia” his uncle replied. Junior looked at his uncle. Funny, he thought, he didn’t look even remotely like dad.
“So Junior, ready to go to Hogwarts?” his uncle asked all the while streaking his untidy hair.
“Yes uncle”, he replied, “Is it really as great as you described it?”
“That and more Junior, I had the best time ever there.”
“Ahem, hi Harry”, his dad scraped his throat. He finally had arrived at the platform dragging his sister and her trunk along.
“Hi Duds”, uncle Harry replied, “Still in great shape I see”.
“You don’t get to be Olympic and World Champion boxing by sitting on your butt the whole day Harry”
“I always said it, didn’t I Harry?” Granny beamed at his uncle. “Your cousin would do great things in his life”.
“Come on mum”, his father said turning red suddenly. “We all know who saved me and the world singlehandedly.”
“And as I told you a thousand times already Duds, I had the help of a lot of people including two of the best friends someone could wish for.”
There fell an awkward silence.
Strange, Junior thought, maybe it was true that his dad and his uncle weren’t friends before just like his Granny had told him. Although his uncle had been nothing but helpful since the emergence of his “condition” as his grandfather described it, he could see his father tried his hardest to act as normal as he could in the company of his uncle.
His grandfather he thought suddenly. He hadn’t seen him since the big argument he had with his son and his wife. He could still remember it vividly.
“This didn’t come from my side of the family”, his grandfather had literally screamed.”I told you we shouldn’t have taken that nephew of you in. Look what has happened. He contaminated our Dudly somehow”.
“Come on now dad”, his father had replied, “I’m sure Harry had nothing to do with this. After all, Aunt Lily also had these kinds of “powers””.
“That’s exactly what I mean, it’s this family of your mother’s…”
“It’s my family also dad,” his father interrupted,” Don’t you dare talk about my mother’s family in that way. And Harry has helped us out of a lot of trouble in case you forgot.”
“The trouble he and his mother and their kind got us in you mean”. His grandfather was almost snarling and growling by then. He never had seen his grandfather this way and he would never again.
“What kind do you mean dad?” his father replied suddenly weary.
“What are your grandchildren for you then, “our kind” or theirs?
His grandfather hadn’t replied, he just stormed out of the house and they hadn’t seen him since.
Well, there was a threat about a book about Harry's children. So I thought, why not a story about Dudly's kids. Harry's and Ron's kids will play a role also but it will not go about them. Hope you enjoy the fanfic.
Dudley's kids never really occured to me, but the whole idea of them being wizards is very interesting Though I doubt that Petunia and Dudley would treat the whole subject AS calmly as they did in your story, but well, one never knows Also, Dudley being an Olympic boxer? That's... a big LOL, but I don't mean it in a bad way. Maybe even a spoiled momma's boy like Big D can change...
Just a little advice: try to throw in some description into the story - when it's only dialogues, it gets a bit tiring and confusing after a while, what with all "his dad's dad" and 90 percent of direct speech. You can try to tell how Junior viewed the whole scene, not just what he heard - e.g. that grandpa Vernon's face was red as he screamed etc. It adds to the story very much as it provides one necessary point of a good story: "readability" I call it It means that the text has to be easy to read, easy to follow not only for you, as you are aware who says what in the story, but also for a reader who sees it for the first time.
Good luck with writing more, let the nice Muses kick you with inspiration
I guess I read to much JKR
I tried to tell the story from Dudley Jr. point of vieuw.
And for Dudley Sr being an Olympic boxer?
Well, he went boxing and his appearance changed, remember, the last two books? So why not let something nice happen for a change.
And.....Petunia and Dudley didn't take it calmly, you just read the afermath.
But what could they do in the end but to accept it?
Thanks for the feedback.
I didn't know she had ever said that she wouldn't make Dudley's kids wizards. Plus this is a fanfic so.......
I'm so lazy, plus the story changes constantly in my head.
I kind of have problems finishing things that I start.
“Don’t worry lad, you’ll be fine. Nothing to be scared of. Hogwarts a great school”
Junior looked at the man who said these words to him. He was kind of tall, with a lot of freckles. This in combination with his flaming red hair led Junior to the conclusion that he was the kind of guy you wouldn’t miss in a crowd.
“No sir, I was just thinking about something else” Junior replied.
“Ah, thinking about all the trouble you caused us are you?” Although he sounded stern it was in sharp contrast with his eyes which were twinkling and his broad smile across his face.
“What do you mean Sir, with the trouble I caused and who is us?” Junior couldn’t help feeling guilty, which was silly because he didn’t knew the man let alone knew of the trouble he supposedly caused.
“Hmmm, you don’t say” the man said but it seemed more like he was thinking aloud. “I’m quite sure I performed the Memory Charms the right way. Aw, I certainly hope so, or else Hermione’s gonna have my head”.
The man certainly seemed worried, but before Junior could ask more, Uncle Harry and his father appeared. “By God Junior, don’t go strolling away just now,” his father said,” I got enough on my mind to go searching too for you in this crowd.”
“No need to worry Dudley, I had my eyes on him all the time,” the red-haired man said while turning to Uncle Harry,” Harry we did perform the Memory Charms right that day didn’t we? Cause Junior here doesn’t seem to remember a thing and I’m quite sure I didn’t include him as one of our targets that day. Although, we did perform it on a sports hall full of people. Maybe I got carried away.” He said, and then with a sigh, “Again”.
Suddenly it hit Junior.”Are you talking about the day Sir, when all those medals and trophies flew across the floor and the whole hall panicked and…”
“No Junior,” Uncle Harry interrupted Junior.” Mr. Weasly here is talking about the day YOU let all those medals and trophies fly all over the sports hall and thereby wasting the Ministry of Magic precious manpower and work hours in trying to cover that all up.”
Junior looked suspiciously at his uncle who visibly was trying to look and sound serious but to no avail.
The red-haired man who had to be none other than Ron Weasly, one of aunt Ginny’s brothers, laughed out a loud,” No use Harry, you can’t sound as annoying as Percy even if you did your best.”
Junior looked questioningly at his father who shrugged his shoulders in reply. Apparently the two men had some fun with an insiders joke.
Ron Weasly turned his attention to Junior.”Is that what your uncle has been telling you all this time?”
He asked the question again, but different this time when he saw the puzzled look on Junior’s face.
“Is that what your uncle Harry told you, that the Ministry took care of it? Sure, it would have been the task of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes to clean up the mess you caused but no, your uncle Harry had to personally take care of the problems his family is causing. Guess it’s good to be one of the two most famous Aurors ever.”
“I told him what he needed to know Ron, he will get all the details when he’s ready for it”. Uncle Harry said while he looked at the platform numbers. Junior watched curiously as he saw his uncle stopped between platforms 9 and 10 and beckoned him and his sister who oddly enough remained silent the whole time, to come closer.
His sister Christina, his twin sister actually, was clearly enough not in her own doing. He, Junior by his own admission would likely act the same were it not for the fact that he actually looked forward to going to Hogwarts. She was very pretty with her dark red hair and almond-shaped eyes which were, now he thought about it, the same tint green as uncle Harry’s. She was clearly Granny’s favorite who spoiled her as much as she could but oddly enough he couldn’t say the same of his grandfather. His grandfather had never spoiled him either but still, even Christina noticed that he treated her a little different.
For a little girl she was pretty well-known already because she had appeared in a couple commercials on the T.V. and the internet. The fact that his father was a celebrity because of his boxing career didn’t hurt either. She had this seemingly charmed life and now she had to give all that up to go a place she and almost all of the people she knew had never heard of.
Not that his life wasn’t that great, but he couldn’t explain it, since the day of the “accident”, since he knew he had an uncle he could relate to regarding his so called magic abilities, he felt strangely out of place even at home.
There were a lot of people in the vicinity but that didn’t seem to bother uncle Harry and his friend who began pulling at the trunks of the two kids all the while walking in the direction of the barrier between platforms nine and ten. When they were in front of the barrier the two men stopped and uncle Harry said; “Christina you come with me, Dudley, you and Junior follow Ron.”
Mr. Weasly turned to Junior and his dad, “Don’t worry, just do as we do and everything is going to be all right.”
I'm the worst writer ever
I haven't written the story yet, there's this general idea in my head I just improvise whenever I feel like posting.
I'll do better next time.

no ur not!!! I resent that! I haven't written half the stories I come up with and if u think that my story I'm posting is fully written, well think again. It doesn't have to b pre-written, you just write it as you show it off. _________________ Bring on the rain,

Yo, it's Cat, what's up?
Uncle Harry grabbed Christina by the hand and together they walked straight at the barrier between platform 9 and 10. What happened next was amazing. He saw his sister squeeze her eyes the moment she expected to crash into the wall. But before that happened they both just disappeared.
Junior looked in utter amazement at his dad and then at Mr. Weasly who just said calmly;
“Yes, the first time your uncle went through he had the same look you have now on his face to.”
Mr. Weasly continued;”Our turn now guys”.
He took Junior by the hand and started walking towards the barrier.
Junior tried his best not to close his eyes. He really wanted to see what would happen when they actually would “hit” the barrier, but to no avail. When it happened he just blinked and the moment he opened his eyes they were already on the other side.
They were standing on a platform, which seemed as crowded as the one they were on before.
The people however were quite different with all their different kinds of robes, and the strange pets they had amongst them.
He actually saw a three headed puppy, the size of a pony and some animals he couldn’t quite describe, let alone say what they were.
Funny, fantastic world his uncle and his cousins lived in. And he was a part of it now. It really couldn’t get any better he thought.
They approached two women, one he recognized as aunt Ginny and the other he had never seen before.
She had braided hair, but that really couldn’t hide the bushiness of her hair. He could clearly see that at the end of the braids her hair begin to turn all jumpy and bushy and he wondered how her hair would look like without the braids.
The two women greeted them with worried looks on their faces.
“Ron, Harry we need to go right away”, the woman with the braided hair said.
“What’s wrong Hermione”, Mr. Weasly asked.
“The Ministry just contacted me, we need to go right away. I don’t know what’s wrong now exactly, but it sounded urgent”. The woman called Hermione went on:”Maybe it has something to do with the museum heist that was mentioned in the Daily Prophet. According to my source at the museum there could be some powerful artifacts included in the display, but the Ministry never got the chance to investigate them properly.”
“OK, we should go then. Ginny think you could take care of my cousin and his kids? Aunt Petunia chose to go back to the car. She didn’t feel to well.” Uncle Harry looked at Junior’s dad when he said the latter.
“You’ll have to excuse my mom Harry, it’s all been a little much for her. It’s hard for her, with her grandkids going off for the most part of the year.”Junior’s dad continued:”Hell, I don’t even know if I’m going to be all right myself.”
“They’ll be all right, Dudley,” uncle Harry reassured him, “They’ll have Albus and James with them on the train and…sorry Duds I really have to go now, kids take care. Aunt Ginny will gladly help you with anything else you need.” Uncle Harry kissed his wife and hurried away with Mr. and Mrs. Weasly .
After her husband disappeared from sight aunt Ginny turned to Junior and Christina.
“So kids, say goodbye to your dad. The others are already on the train. Ill told them to keep some seats for you two.”
“Will we be in the same year as James, aunt Ginny?” Christina asked.
“No Christina, although you two and James are of the same age, you and Junior will be with the first years at Hogwarts. If somebody had sent you last year when you got your letter of acceptance…”she looked at their dad,”…you two would already be secondyears and maybe the incident at the sports hall wouldn’t have happened.”
Junior’s dad shrugged his shoulders, “It isn’t that easy, especially with my dad being all suspicious with your lot. Well kids give your old man a hug and I’ll see you around Christmas right?”
He hugged them both brusquely and walked away, but before he turned away Junior could swear that he saw something shimmer in his eyes. Well, who would’ve known that a man like his father could cry?
“Okay kids, on to the train. I’ll send your books and cauldrons and the rest of your stuff in the coming week.” aunt Ginny kissed Christina and Junior on the forehead and helped them put their trunks on the train, “here’s the letter for the headmaster. In it your uncle explains why you two don’t have your stuff yet. It also contains the request your uncle wrote for the wand maker. You’ll meet one at Hogwarts.”
I managed to squeeze a liitle time in to write the following:
They went to look for the compartment their cousins were supposedly to be seated. The corridor was packed with students still who hadn’t occupied a compartment yet. A boy and a girl who introduced themselves as prefects urged them all to find a seating place before the train started moving.
Christina pulled at the sleeve of the boy prefect.
“Sorry, but could you tell us where the Potter kids are seated?”
“The Potter kids?” the boy prefect asked turning his attention away from a kid who was blocking the corridor with his rather large pet which by closer inspection revealed to be a giant turtle
“Didn’t we see them in the other wagon?” he asked his fellow prefect.
The girl prefect answered:”Yes, they were seated as always with their cousins, the Weasly kids.”
“But why are you asking………?”, she paused and looked at Christina with a little more interest.
“Don’t I know you from somewhere?” she suddenly asked.
“I don’t think so”, Christina replied a little uncomfortable, “it’s my first time on this train.”
The boy prefect looked attentively at Christina and said:”Isn’t she the muggle girl on the cover of the muggle magazine you brought with you?”
“You’re right!” the girl prefect exclaimed, “you’re Christina Dursley, what are you doing on this train?” She continued noticeably excited:”You’re obviously not a muggle then, are you going to Hogwarts also?”
“Of course you are, else you wouldn’t be on this train,” she rambled on, “Oh this is so exciting, and who is he?”
She didn’t wait for Christina to answer but went on:”Is he your twin brother, but you don’t look like twins to me.”
“Will you just leave them alone?” The boy prefect cautioned her.”If you walk that way”, he gestured with his hand to the back of the wagon, “you’ll be bound to see them in one of the compartments.”
“Thank you,” Christina said and started pulling at her big trunk. Junior helped her with his one free hand while he pulled at his own trunk with the other. When they were at the door that separated the two wagons his sister suddenly stopped.
She winked at Junior and said with a mischievous smile quite aloud:”I wonder why uncle Harry said that we would meet our cousins right away.”
Before they closed the door behind them, Junior could hear the girl prefect scream:”Did you hear that! Harry Potter and Christina Dursley are related.”
He didn’t hear the rest of the conversation, but he could imagine the boy prefect putting his hand to his ears to shut out the chatter of the girl prefect.
Christina was already looking through compartment doors when another pair of prefects appeared.
“Would you two there just find a compartment to sit in?” the boy prefect yelled at them. “ I’m weary of all these first years running around,” he said to the girl prefect.
Since Christina and Junior couldn’t find the right compartment, they just went into the very first one that seemed the least stuffed with students.
There was only one boy seated in the compartment, which seemed odd because all the other compartments seemed quite filled.
The boy stood up and silently helped Christina with her trunk. After that he turned to Junior who by that time had already managed to put his trunk in the racks above the seats.
“Thanks for your help, that trunk sure was heavy wasn’t it?” Christina smiled at the boy, who only nodded and seated himself by the window.
