Be sure I have seen it. An incredible adaptation. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter make such a good team on the screen.
Alan Rickman was also doing a part of this imense musical.
And the guy who portraits Wormtail is in it too.
I've seen it only a day after the release. I got it from the internet.
It's very good but it's a little too bloody. Just when Sweeney Todd on his real name Benjamin Barker cut all those throats. It's....brrrrrrrrr.... frightening.

With such an intense film, there's got to be blood.
But of course, if it looked real, then it would be wayy too horrific for many audiences.
There were several reasons behind the bright blood. Firstly, because the whole film background was very dark, so Tim wanted to contrast with it, and make the blood very bright and visible. Also, many people are a bit calmer once they see that the blood is brighter than usual, because it would be pretty gross if it was all too real. They had to keep it within limits-ish.
If you search around for Tim Burton interviews, he tells all about the blood. It's so significant that it basically has its own story.
<3 Sweeney Todd.
I haven't been on here in a while...did anyone else get the 2 disc special edition DVD? It's beyond amazing!
This film is great. My favourite songs without a doubt are Johanna and My Friends. Anyone else think his voice was absolutely gorgeous on these songs. I mean not like his voice wasn't nice on these others but....especially on those two.
I saw it in theaters, and I tend not to like movies when I see them in theaters. (who knows why. lawl)
I love Johnny Depp, but I didn't like this one.
I am giving the movie the benefit of the doubt.
I had a bad day, and wasn't sure if I even felt like going.
I am not a theater fan (to cold to concentrate, and I can't sit through a whole movie)
&& most people love it. So I do plan on watching it once it is on DVD again. Until then, not a fan.
Update: I watched it again..at home and LOVED IT
I bought it _________________
Johanna is such an awesome song. He's slitting throats while singing a beautiful touching song, to remind you of why he's doing it and why he has become what he's become. _________________ They say home is where the heart is, so your real home's in your chest. --Captain Hammer

Ahhhhh, I love this movie. I think this may have been the best movie ever made!
Well, that might be going a little far, but it was superb. I loved the acting, I loved the singing, the music, the cinematography, everything! And I love Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman. Now I want to go see this on stage! _________________ Evanesco: A Harry Potter site with Everything!
Tragedy: Todd kills his wife & never really meets his daughter, he just has unknown encounters with her.
Happy ending: His daughter escapes her "prison" and finds happiness
What would have made it the ultimate tragedy is...
Spoiler:
If Tod had actually lived and killed his own daughter when he found her hiding in his barber shop. He would have to live with the guilt and could no longer blame anyone else for ripping his family apart, except himself of course. His goal for revenge had blinded him greatly.
