| I just wondered about the last lines of the chapter "The Deathly Hallows". Harry says Voldemort's name and the DE are arriving immediately. But I guess Harry, Ron and Hermione didn't forget to put all the usual protection around their hiding place. So how are the DE able to see the tent, because they say "we know you're in there"??? |

The name Voldemort was taboo, as Ron warns Harry too late. In other words, the Death Eaters that infiltrated the ministry put a trace on the name. Anytime any one uttered the word "voldemort" any protection spells would be lifted. Harry said "Voldemort" and the protection spells him and Hermione had placed around the tent were immediately lifted. When the Death Eaters arrived at the tent, having been led there by the trace, they were able to see the tent.

Ah, ok...
I wasn't aware of the fact that the taboo would lift all the protection spells. |

ron tells them this when he returned to harry and hermy, he tells them that the name voldemort had been tabooed so the DE would find whoever had said it, no matter where they might be

Harry wasnt dumb, he said it Intentionally.
"Harry -"
"Come on, Hermoine, why are you so determined not to admit it? Vol--"
"HARRY, NO!" (Hermoine said)
"--demort's after the elder wand!"
Hermoine already warned him but he didnt stop. |

no, it was an accident, harry forgot for a moment that he wasnt suppossed to say voldemort
but it turned out for the best, that way they were able to rescue the ppl that were locked up at the malfoy's, including ollivander and griphook who had essential information that harry needed for the horcruxes and the deathly hallows
