I am just repeating, because some people came on not reading previous posts to see I had explained myself. |

Yeah, I bet. But we never saw him on his bike. Too bad, oh well... I did get to see him winking in the OotP TWICE! *squee!* lmao _________________

Moony for me as well, I'm a bit obsessed with him Then Sirius, then James I guess... but I'm a bit sad that there wasn't more in HP books from Marauders era, as I don't believe Peter was a bad person in the very beginning. If he really were, the other three wouldn't include him in their little group, they wouldn't accept him as much as to make him a fourth Marauder, and, the main point is - Sirius wouldn't come up with the whole idea of switching with Peter as a Secret Keeper... and James wouldn't accept that idea.
The thing is, people change. Look at Snape, for example. He was just a greasy, unpopular kid loving the Dark Arts in the school. And in the end, he turns out to be loyal, brave and heroic... that's a big change. People's characteristics are not yet perfectly formed in their teens, there are many things that can influence them... and I believe Peter had been a good person in his school years. He surely changed afterwards... but he could've had reasons. He most probably had reasons. As someone (I believe it was Sirius) said in HP books to Harry - the people are not only divided into "the good ones" and "Death Eaters".
Everything people do is a reaction to some sort of action. There must've been something that made Peter betray his friends... I won't go as far as to say it was an Imperius curse or something as far-fetched... but I won't be narrowminded and say he was just pure evil. I refuse to believe that people can only be black or white. _________________ Donate blood so Snape won't die of bloodloss

You know, for the longest time I had wondered whether Veritaserum or something had been involved in the whole betrayal thing. Then I read the book again and realized that Peter had actually been passing secrets to Voldemort for over a year before the actual murders. I mean, even some prank or schoolboy grudge wouldn't be enough to make someone turn over an entire family (esppecially one with a very young child) to a serial killer to simply destroy. Plus, I think if there were some big dramatic reason for Peter's betrayal, it would have been mentioned in the books. Most likely, it would be in the Shreiking Shack scene in PoA. Sirius and Remus would be ready to kill him, and he'd go into a long rant revealing the Big Reason as to why he did what he did.
Personally, my favorite is Sirius Black. He's kind of wild and badass, but acts like an adult when he has to. Kind and caring, yet wild, protective, and badass. That's a pretty cool combination.
It's kind of a tie between James and Remus after that point. Neither really has enough parts in the story (James especially), but both seem to have grown up since Hogwarts. I used to think Remus was the "responsible one", but after reading that one chapter in DH, I guess he wasn't. He seems to have grown up since that chapter, but he was probably just as bad of a Marauder as the rest of them.
I honestly whould have liked to see more Marauder pranks. _________________

That's quite true... it's just my absolute inability to believe in completely evil people I just have to find reasons for everyone, for every bad thing people do... my fault, I know _________________ Donate blood so Snape won't die of bloodloss

^I agree, Peter probably wasn't treated fairly by his friends.... but that is not a good enough reason to turn them over to Lord Voldemort to be killed. _________________

Pshht, Sirius of course. He is an awesome dueler, a great person, plus a huge impact on the bringing down of Voldy...not to mention a great god-father?
...Also, he can turn into a dog. woof _________________ The Gift stared with a puzzled look upon the wand that Ollivander had handed him. For some odd reason, he felt a strange feeling of fusion, as though he had just found a long-lost part of himself... |

Sirius ftw.
Shame he doesn't get a gurl in the books.
I'd like to see a story about Sirius and that girl peering at him at the DADA OWLs. _________________ CONSTANT VIGILANCE, SCUMBAGS!
