I have another suggestion. Since I haven't seen Dark_Mark lately, Phoenix, or AO I was thinking that we could use a couple more moderators on the forums. No idea about you guys but I don't think it's fair that only Michael, Alastor, and Katie have to do all the work. Mostly Alastor, no offense Michael or Katie, but I think that we should have a couple more mods that are active and would moderate well.
And yes, I think Alastor would make a good admin too. _________________

I agree with you. We definitely don't have enough active mods at the moment, which leaves one or two(one for the most part) of them to do everything on the forum... which isn't right.

I'll state my opinion and say that I don't think it should be a popularity contest (hence some of what's in this thread, and the 'Vote GinnyX for Mod' thread in the LC). It really is something the staff of the site should decide, and ultimately Dar. If it were my site, I might even find it insulting that a bunch of people were trying to tell me who should be on the staff and allowed to administrate the website.
I think Dar is very aware of who would adequately fill any positions he wants filled, and while a few people could "suggest" someone in a thread like this one, I don't think everyone else should reply saying "you have my vote!" or have a thread started with a poll. Dar pays the bills, and as far as I know, there aren't any "shares" of PF that are being sold, so members don't have any 'votes' unless he says otherwise. I also don't like how some of the other staff members have been portrayed particularly in this thread. Some people have basically said that they suck and that they aren't doing their job. And while that may be true to a certain extent, it's not very respectful to 'evaluate their job' in a public thread. Saying something like 'some of the other moderators aren't as active' is fine, but going beyond that, I think, isn't really needed.
I'll also say that for a guy with a full time job, a wife, and a real life, Dar is fairly active on here. I see him on here during the weekday mornings pretty often. For big changes to the forum, his time is limited, but I think he does his best to keep up with requests and answer the many PMs he gets from members. Yes, I believe he needs some extra help, but people need to stop blaming him and saying he isn't active. _________________

jeeze, i feel like i am being replaced... i haven't had a computer to be on but i know for damn sure I always use to be just as active has Alastor, maybe even more, but if the community feels like i, or any other mods, should be replaced.. then i will step down. And I whole-heartedly agree with Eric. The thread topic is fine but the rest of the posts, well most, are ridiculous. Pointing out that there aren't enough active mods at times is all well and good, it is an observation that Dar may not have noticed, though unlikely, but this should be about what is best for the forum not, as Eric said, a popularity contest.
As for name changes, it seems odd that the same people who are complaining that this place is uh 'under staffed' are the ones requesting something so trivial as changing a screen name that you should have thought about before deciding on in the first place. They already tried out and decided it was unnecessary, time consuming and really didn't benefit the forum in any way. _________________

No man! You know you rock. You could never be replaced. Your my favorite moderator and you know it man. Also it's not replacing moderators, but adding a couple more. Like maybe 2 more moderators. That's all I had in mind. Not replacing any. _________________
