what happened to DD's hand? im reading the book again and Im still not getting what happened? Is it from when he fought Voldy or something?

But yes, Dumbledore was not the perfect wizard that Harry always thought him out to be. He had a good idea of what would happen to him, but he put the ring on anyway with hopes of seeing a loved one from his past. (Can we say ... awwwww!)

If it weren't for Snape ... He would have died before Harry ever reached Hogwarts for his 6th year ... and then how would he have ever known how to seek out The Dark Lord?

nah, its cuz he put the ring on. Im assuming that if you picked it up, not much would happen. But since he put it on, he became cursed. Snape stopped the curse from spreading, which is why only his hand was black. _________________
