This is a basic good versus evil plot. The good always wins out over evil. Love always wins out over hate. Sure, evil may have seemed to have won this battle but good will win the war. Harry can't die he is the hero. DD may not be really dead. Pockets full of crap has a good arguement. Check the posts. Breathe In, breath out, feel the sunshine on your face. I agree. I really liked Sirius, but he was the character J.K chose to kill.

I think Sirius is really dead, sorry if that bums you out. I think it was important for JKR to get her character Harry to realize that he has to be the one to defeat LV. Losing DD in HBP helped him realize that. Although, I don't really think DD is dead. (See DD's return) _________________ You're just jealous cause the voices only talk to me!
Sirius is dead for good, it was the first major death after Harry joined Hogwarts, and someone close to Harry has to die. It would be really cheesy if He came back from the dead. _________________
I don't remember where I read it, but JKR assured all her fans in an interview that she won't kill off Harry at the end ( that also meens Voldemort dies at the end) ! So don't worry, you whon't have to organise a book burning

HRH2013 said Sirius was the only one left from Harry’s family. Which is not the case since Sirius was Harry’s godfather and not a member of his family and Harry still has the Dursleys. _________________
