omg, I just understood something! About Snape.

Ok, I know many of you probably figured this out years ago, but:

In OotP, after the Dementors attack, when Harry and the Dursleys are in the kitchen talking, and Vernon is asking: "What the ruddy hell are Dementors?" aunt Petunia says:"They guard the wizard prison Azkaban."
And then they`re all shocked how she knows that and she says: "I heard - that awful boy - telling her about them years ago.
And Harry says: "If you mean my mum and dad why don`t you use their names?"

But she didn`t mean his dad! She wasn`t referring to James, she was reffering to Snape!

In DH, in Princes tale, when Harry is in the Pensieve watching Snapes memories, there`s this memory where Lily is asking Snape to tell her about the Dementors again.
Petunia must have known what they were talking about. About wizards, and the Dementors and all. So she meant Snape!! Snape

God! Very Happy

I never thought about that,but now when you tell it you are right.
Petunia hated Snape because he was always rude to her.and after she was jelous to Lilly because she got the letter.

yeah, and Petunia also said that Snape snuck into her room and stole the letter from Dumbledore.

Wow, Nice Find! I always assumed she was refering to James but Lily didn't start dating James until he was a teen and Petuna used the phrase "aweful boy".

I remember that when I read it for the first time I kinda felt that something was not right. Somehow James didn't pop into my head... I didn't think it was Snape of course... But kinda... not James xD I guess my inner-eye opened! I'd be Trelawney's fave xDDDD
