I played world of warcraft for about 2 weeks back in March last year. I thought it was OKAY. I didn't like the skills tho. All I did was roam about and talk to ppl and have duels and also fight the other faction if they ever attacked. That was fun but everythin else SUCKED. It is SO hard to level up!!! It took me the full 2 weeks i played the game to get to level 7. And my sado of a m8 says its easy and he gained like 20 levels in ONE week! He plays 24/7 tho. He don't go out so I guess that word of warcraft should be a game for ppl who don't really do much else other than sittin in the house, right? But if u got stuff to do and go out alot then THIS game aint for YOU lol. Also I thought it cost a little MUCH for a GAME! I mean it cost me £18 jus for 60 days! Thats roughly 2 months. So about £9 a month! It's not like im too poor to AFFORD it. it's jus that I don't think it's worth payin for a game that I only played for about an hour a night lol. Definetaly not worth it.

So I take it none of you guys have ever heard of WoW free servers? Dig http://www.burning-wow.com . That's the free server I play on. Look me up on Netherstorm as either Tauren Shaman Durham, Undead Rogue Ounda, Tauren Druid Libo, or Human Warrior Enderwiggin.

Wow...I didn't know there were free servers

Too bad I love the servers I'm already on so much though ^^

I LOVE THIS GAME!

Granted, I have a short attention span...but this game can hold my attention for like 4 hours....I don't get bored like I used to and there's always something to do ^^

Also I heard that before recent patches, it WAS really hard to level. But it's alot easier now.

As long as you like them enough to pay for them, more power to you.
And you wanna talk about easy leveling? Some of these free servers are "fun" servers or "high rate" servers with up to 500000X xp (for instant lvl 70 fun) or just a 2X drop and xp rate, to make it a little quicker. Basically it's for people who wanna play through the game, but not wait until next year to be finished or sacrifice their lives for it. Plus Horde and Alliance both can speak in general chat, there's server-wide unique events, and "custom shops" where epic armor is available in the cities.

It may be free, but it's a crappy custom made server with vendors that sell the best gear for free and one kill to 70. That always have huge lag and way to many bugs and glitches. Still, they can be fun.

That's why I said some of these servers are fun servers or high rate. Some are normal, blizz-like rate, where it's the same xp as the pay servers. And the blizz-like ones don't have custom shops. And in the custom shops everything costs money. None of it is free. There's usually less lag in my experience, since there's fewer people on each server and you can pick and choose from thousands, but then again, I am using a gig of ram, which is minimum requirement for WoW, maybe you're not. As far as the bugs, yes, there are a few, but there's tons of mods that read tickets daily and will help you fix things. Plus, you pay for a 24-hour on-call staff to fix all the little bugs within seconds of them happening and still manage to have buggy mobs and quests that don't work.

Actually, a funny thing happened to some jerkface on one of my servers that I kind of laugh at. He dropped out of college to raid Black Temple and pissed his parents off. Guess what? They had access to his account. They changed ALL of his account info, so now he has a level 70 druid in Black Temple epic gear that's just sitting there, with the account itself still sucking money from his bank account.

A woman divorced her husband because he chose WoW over his wife. How gay.

As long as Blizzard make millions, even BILLIONS of dollars a year outta that pathetic game, they don't care how many lives they ruin. I mean I'd be the same if I was in their position. They earn somthin like 100s of thousands of dollars a year! So if gettin that much meant havin to ruin a few thousand LIVES then so be it lol. The people who BUY the game kno wat to expect: NERD HEAVAN Laughing

I stay away from any online game that cost money
That's why I just created free 10 day trials over and over.
But, you need to have a lot of free time to play it.
And it gets very repetitive.

Well, obviously it gets really repetitive when you have to keep making 10 day free trials over and over Wink

I haven't played it in months though, it gets boring at level 70

It wasn't a smart decision, but I've started playing WoW. I had always told myself that I wouldn't do it, and that the concept of paying monthly for a game just wasn't right. Then, a real life friend got me to try it and I think it's awesome. Not a good idea, since I was basically addicted to Diablo 2 on and off for a few years.

So far, I'm loving the game. I didn't realize how large and open-ended something like this could be. Granted, I'm still low level, but the amount of content as it would scale to the entire world is amazing. If anyone plays on Alexstrasza, send me a PM and I'll give you my name(s).
