Surely it should say 'I must not tell lies'....???

| Yea I saw that too... it wasnt like mugglenet or anything so im not sure if it is a true photo... i hope that this is not going to be in the movie it should say i must not tell lies. |

Um, no I think it might be real, but maybe it isn't supposed to be Harry's hand? Maybe another one of the students... not the twins, though because they're right-handed.
Here's a picture of the storyboard... It's the same hand. It might just be a prototype picture, what the hand is supposed to look like for filming and not the actual hand.
Here is a shot of some students in detention (Please note that they are not in class, they are in detention.) As you can see, Harry is right-handed, so the hand in the picture most likely is not his, BUT that very well might be the wording used later on for his hand. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another one of those wacky changes they make to the movies.

are they really all in detention? if they were surely somebody would tell dumbledore...this could be after he left though. maybe it was tell lies at first but when everyone started having detentions she made it break rules to fit everybody.

I'm so glad this wasnt real. But I thought that it carved it into the same hand that he writes with? Or maybe I read that wrong.....

I thought the same thing. I thought the writing appeared on the same hand you write with. Oh well.
I don't know who's hand that is, but it's not Harry's. His says "I must not tell lies." Remember when Umbridge was begging him for help while the Centaurs were dragging him away? It has to be the hand of another student. Maybe one of the boys... or the twins... And we were so worried!

Right, this post was started awhile ago, before the movie came out. It was confusing because the words are different from the book and, also, there was a puicture of Daniel Radcliffe writing and he was using his other hand. Now that we've seen the movie we're kind of relieved... at leastthat's one thing they didn't alter too badly from the book.
Now I just don't understand why the writing showed up on the other hand and noton his writing hand.

That's not from the movie. In the movie it said 'I must not tell lies' like it should.

I'm guessing someone took a screenshot of that prototype that someone posted about earlier, because if you notice that's the same hand as the first posted picture.
I thought it was kind of silly to change hands it's suppose to appear on, but I was cringing when it started to show up.  Icky... |
