I was watching this yesterday (it had been a while). Now I think that Chris Columbus is underrated as a director for the franchise. The guy knew the Wizarding World, he knew Hogwarts, and he understood the characters. This is Steve Kloves at his best, too.

Now I want Columbus for DH. He can bring back that certain magic that left when he did.

I agree. He has read all the books and his childrens love the books. He knows what to do and what he shouldn't do.

I say, he should direct DH... finish off what he really started! Bring Back the Columbus!

Everyone always says that columbus was too NICE AND SWEET (Or CAMPY should I say Laughing ) but big deal! Yeh sure the series wasn't always NICE AND BRIGHT but it was never intended to be that DARK anyway Rolling Eyes The books r however u want them to be. So Columbus would be a good choice for the last movie.

Columbus knew how to contrast. He didn't have to make most the sets and lighting a dreary blue in order to remind us that moral darkness was present. I think part of the reason PS/CoS are seen as kiddy by most viewers is that the three main characters were kids. They're young adults now. If Columbus returns now, most fans will understand where he was coming from with his contrast technique.

I definitely liked the first film and Chris Columbus did a great job. So he's doing the last two movies, eh? They will be cool then, I think.

Nope, Yates is doing the last two films, despite what most of the fans want.
