aham 1st James Potter was pure-blooded
and Hagrid is well..half giant.I thought that """prince""" was tom riddle before he became Lord Voldemort. That saktumsempra spell is terrible. It looked like Riddle's work. _________________ You are the weak one!!!You will never know love or friendship and I feel sorry for you!!!
I had no idea. I think I had a slight thought about Snape. But I just wasn`t thinking about it much, I was just reading _________________ http://www.fanfiction.net/~reginavoltaire
At first, like many peope, I believed it was Harry since he's the main character lol. But then I began to think it might be the BAD GUY seeing as the titles of the books never relate to HARRY himself. So Voldermort was a likely choice and then about half way through the book I started to think there was a possibility that Hagrid was the half blood prince. Dont even know why...Jus thought that if there was gonna be a HALF BLOOD PRINCE then it must be someone toally UNEXPECTED so Hagrid was totally unexpected lol. But turned out that it was even MORE unexpected! Turned out to be he only guy I DIDN'T suspect _________________ "My Logic is Never without Reason..."
Voldemort never entrusted the locket to either of them. Umbridge wasn'ta Death Eater. She was more of a Death Eater sympathizer than anything. WHich isn't any better, in fact, it's probably worse. But either way, Voldemort didn't give it to either of them to hold, and actually, Umbridge stumbled upon it.
I do think that Voldemort would have been better off not entrusting his Horcruxes to anyone, because he was sadly mistaken as to who he could trust.
By and large, Voldemort did not entrust his horcruxes to his followers.
He entrusted the diary to some one else because he wanted it to get back to Hogwarts. He didn't really think it would matter so much to put one of his horcruxes in danger of being discovered, because he felt that having so many others was fool-proof. I also kind of think that he wanted his first horcrux to be discovered. Voldemort liked to be admired and feared. If he could pull off such poweful magic at such a young age, and his memory self was proof that he was extremely young, then that was sure to put more awe and fear into the people who realized this.
I could be wrong, but I don't recall the books mentioning how the DE's even came to possess the cup. For all we know, Voldemort may have had it in a dwelling with plans to hid it somewhere when he fell. If the DE's went there in desperation to grab whatever they could, then Malfoy may have very well just grabbed it along with other things. He surely knew of its value.
Slytherin's locket was well-hidden and no DEs were left to protect that. The Inferi were used to protect the locket.
The ring was at the House of Gaunt, rather than in the protection of a DE.
The diadem was in the Room of Requirements.
Of course, we all know that Nagini rarely left Voldemort's site, unless he had her doing something that he himself could not do. _________________

You're right, it does seem a little fishy he would just hand over the doary Horcruz unprtoected. He most likely wanted to be found out somehow, even unconciously.
And although we don't know how the LeStranges originally came by the cups, we do know that he knew the cup was in there, and opted to leave it there. It could just be that he trusted the security measures of old vaults, which would actually make more sense. Voldemort would seem to be the type to trust magical means of security, rather than trusting actual people. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre

I think JKR has said that he had a plan for the diary and wanted Lucius to implement the plan but then he got vaporized and eventually (without Voldy's consent) decided to use the diary for his own personal gain. She may have also said that Lucius didnt really know the diary's power. I don't mean that it was a horcrux, but pretty much what we and Ginny discovered it was, before we knew what horcruxes were.
Edit: (answering the topic) I thought Voldemort was that HBP and I didn't even give it another thought. I think I misunderstood someone and thought that the identity of the HBP had been spoiled and revealed to me as Voldy, before I ever read the book. If I had thought about it, I might have figured it a little ridiculous to have Tom Riddles diary and then his potions book; and so I might have considered others but probably someone like DD. At least until the use of sectumsempra. Then I would have been turned off of it maybe being DD. _________________ Amor Vincit Omnia!
i thought it was snape to tell you the truth, one of the spells that were scribbled in the book he told draco to use in CoS. so i was like its snape snapepdy snape! _________________

lol, just to clarify my awesome spelling, I was trying to say "*diary Horcrux unprotected"
Anyway, I know that Voldemort had bigger plans for the diary and that Lucius didn't know what it really was.. but I just meant that after all these years of having that diary, you would think Voldemort would already have it protected very well. I can only assume that it was protected, but he wanted to make it even more protected. So he had the Lestranges put the cup in their vault and was going to do something similar with the Malfoys... since they were two of his most trusted followers... well, as much as he could trust anyone, since he didn't really trust anyone. _________________ ^made by Fiendfyre
I thought it was either Snape, Riddle or original character. Mostly Snape though, cause it was potions book after all and I thought it would have been funny if Harry got very good results in potions - thanks to the man, that wanted him out of potions xD _________________
Lord Voldemort doesn't "trust" anyone. He is simply pure evil and I read it on beggining of DH book.
My 2nd thought was Snape, but in the beggining I really thought it's Tom Riddle because those horrible spell seemed like his work.Seems I wasn't right.Snape was the Prince all along. _________________ You are the weak one!!!You will never know love or friendship and I feel sorry for you!!!
I had an idea of who it might be. but i wasnt for sure. I had thought it was snape about the middle before we found out it was snape. but at the beginning i thought it might be Voldie, but then i realized it was after his time at Hogwarts. _________________ "I was nauseous and tingly all over. . . . well i was at my neices house when i was reading it and she had just finished it (we were reading before we went to bed, she reading DH and me HBP) i was convinced it was Dumbledore and then Voldie and then slughorn.... i never thouhgt of snape never really thought about it. he just didnt click. when we were reading i was guessing and she was sitting there laughing at me but refused to tell me who it was _________________
I thought it would be a completely new character (like the Order of the Phoenix was a new group, Goblet of Fire a new object, Prisoner of Azkaban a new character, Chamber of Secrets a new place, Sorceror's Stone a new object, obviously). _________________ Snape, Snape, Severus Snape.
i thought it was voldemort till harry found the book and then i knew it was snape. it was obv _________________
