is there a difference between the adult version, the us version, and the uk version or is it the same?

The US and UK versions are a little different.
I have no idea about the Adult version though.

I have the U.S version of Harry Potter HBP.. but I think (The deathly hallows) I'm gonna buy the U.K version because my friend told me it's the original one..

No, it is shorted. If you go to Wikipedia and type in Harry Potter and the Deathy Hallows it says the UK is about 100 pages shorter than the US version. But I don't think there is a difference in them. You aren't going to have the same two books but different. So how can the UK version be better?

The reason why the book is shorter is because of the font size and illustrations.

A few slang words are changed around from the US and UK versions.

But as far as content, it's the same.

GinnyX is right... It's only the terminology and font and pictures that differ... It's mainly illistration that is different from children and adult versions...
