No, definitely not. Parvati is in Gryffindor and her twin sister, Padma, was sorted into Ravenclaw. In the movies they are both in Gryffindor, but that is not canon. In the books the twin sisters were sorted into seperate house which Hermione points out to Harry and Ron when they are discussing families being sorted into the same houses as each other.

Again with the choosing a child for Disney world. Actually, neither of my two favorite Ravenclaws are on here . . . Moaning Myrtle and Helena Ravenclaw. I'm going to go with Flitwick, because he is the one who turns all of the intelligent Ravenclaws out into the world.

I'd have to go with Luna...They don't really include the other characters enough for them to go through enough character development for them to have grown enough on me. I like Luna though...she's totally different from the rest of the characters. She's really weird at times...and that can lead you to think that she's not so "bright"...but she really is, you know? She also doesn't really care what other people seem to think of her too much (besides her true friends), and she is a caring person as well.

J.K. Rowling answered this on her official website...

Quote:
Section: F.A.Q.

What houses were Tonks and Myrtle in?

Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw respectively.

Well, we don't really know how smart she is.Plus, being in Ravenclaw isn't a measure of how smart the person is. I think that people are sorted into houses based on their values, and not necassarily on what they are, but more on their potential.

Tthat's why my theory is that the person has to value the Houses's trait, and not necassarily be that trait. It is impossible to measure intelligence properly, just like you can't measure a person's bravery fairly.

Nobody ever said that Myrtle wasn't intelligent. She was whiny, but she her ghost self might be whinier that her living self. She didn't have it easy, anyway. Every one picked on here. Have you ever gone to a school where you had no friends and they all made fun of you? It makes for a miserable time. She doesn't ever say anythign incredibley stupid. She is just a poor girl looking for acceptance who got trapped into an eternity of teen angst.

I never said she wasn't smart. ^I was just answering the comment about Wormtail.

^ I know you didn't say that she wasn't smart. I just grabbed a quote from the two of you, since that was the conversation that I was responding to.
