| I have read this book 4 times. My opinion on it is that it was the best book. I liked how JK portrayed the Ministry's view on Hogwarts. It really shows how the Ministry made a mistake. I also like how it introduces the characters that everyone has been talking about for 15 years. It was sad that Sirius died, but it makes you wonder what will happen in book seven. |

i didnt really like it. i was annoyed with harry although we gotta accept that it would be so unrealistic if he was still the kind gentle harry of book 1.
but this talked about relevant issues, such as the typical actions of governments, injustice and prejudice, love and kisses, how girls act like when they are around guys, how harry is becoming moody, and sadly, death. it was the most realistic. _________________

I have read this book 1.5 times. I'm in the middle of reading it again since it came out you see. I had so much strong emotions between Umbridge and Sirius dying that I never wanted to read it again. But because the movie is coming out I want to see how accurate the movie is. I Loved the book but damn it makes me soooooo pissy, sad, and depressed that no one can stand me once I am done reading for the day... Well for the first like half an hour then I'm good and I have vented what ever feelings I have gotten from the book. Unfortuantly that wasnt the case when I first read it... I was like this for a month after I was done with the book. _________________ Do it the Potter Style! |

| I just don't get why they sometimes don't try and stand up for themselves more. I think that Ron and Hermione should have said Voldemort is back, not just Harry so he would have to take all the punishment. |

well they are still able to keep their calm since they were not the ones directly affected. they want to tell harry, "shut your trap before you get into trouble again!" it wasnt a matter of telling truth and lies. it was a matter of knowing how to behave.
elves dont stand up for themselves coz they were brainwahsed into thinking that how they are treated is what they deserve. _________________

| I think that it was best that Ron and Hermione didn't say anything. I have a feeling if they were to back up Harry he would scream, "You dont know my pain!!!" Angsty Harry not cool. |

| Yes lucky for us he grows out of the stage a little in the 6th book. Although I think he needed to be a lot more mature... all I know is... he better be grown up in the 7th and not whinny like he was in OoP and HP. |

well harry matures. in books 1-4 he's like this sweet little kid who is still naive. then in book 5 he's this raving lunatic. in book 6 he's mellowed down, but he occassionally gets mad. in book7 hopefully he improves! _________________

I agree... I think that the way J.K. seemed to make her charactors develop thier personalities, as if they were really growing up was awesome. You noticed that each year, each charactor mannaged to mature in one way or another. Hermione, learned to to be as much of a know-it-all, Ron started to get less and less cocky, and Harry's emotions seemed to become more and more stable. It's pretty neat how J.K.R made it so we could kinda like... watch the three of them grow... ya know? _________________

yah. it would be stupid and sad if none of them matured.
part of being mature is a painfully ugly process wherein you snog whoever, you bully whomever, get angry whenever... _________________

oooo yea i know that one lol... When ur young (And yes I admit im still like this) Your emotions go wild... You can go from being sweet as pie to a major jackass in a mannor of seconds, because of mood swings that come with growing up... _________________

I've read it 6 times. This is my seventh time (rereading...I reread backwards, yup I'm weird). It is my favourite in the series. And this is probably because there are so many things happening.
It seems unorderly and cluttered, but why shouldn't it? Who's to say someone's life can't be that full? And Umbridge is the most delicious villain ever.
Another good thing I particularly like about it (and no. 6) is there's no overriding plot.
One- Stone
Two- Chamber
Three- Prisoner
Four-Tournament
Five- Order? DA? Ministry? Voldemort?
Six- Voldemort?..maybe...
Seven- Horcruxes
You can't bring it down to one basic plot point. I absolutely adore all the books, but this quality for the busy kind of book Phoenix is is a strong part in it being my favourite.
Also doesn't hurt that it's 766 pages (UK and Aus).
My favourite in order.
Phoenix
Prince (bumped up to second once I read it for the fifth time recently)
Goblet
Prisoner
Chamber
Stone
But...I love them all. _________________ 'We must try not to sink beneath our anguish, Harry, but battle on!' Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore |

I think i've read this book more than 10 times! cuz i can easily locate my favourite parts:) I really loved it! Can't say its my favourite, because these days the 7th is my favourite:) But i think there was a time during my Alevels when my only break used to be a chapter(sometimes 3 ) of this book! I loved that time! _________________ RON: You try putting up tinsel when Peeves has got the other end and is trying to strangle you with it.
