When you think about it, Hermione has some much work to do. Do you think that you would be able to do as many classes as she did. I think that I would, but I would get really tired of it and would be stressed out all the time.

No way. I read in a fanfiction awhile back... the author did the math and.... She was going twice as long as Ron and Harry without meals. Her days were longer, but with all her homework her sleeptime was even less. She has a tough academic life.

well, id probably take more subjects than ron but less than her. the extra subjects are muggle studies, arithmancy, ancient runes, divination, and care of magical creatures. id take everything except muggle studies. ill see if i can handle arithmancy.

I would attempt it but then my social life will collapse, my mind wil go into mental breakdown and my brain would melt and I'd be sent to a Institute For Girls Who Attempt Taking Every Class In School & Other Ridiculous Things.

its crazy.

believe me.
all my teachers were terror teachers, who gave piles of readings a day, as though we had nothing better to do than study. imagine reading 100 pages for every meeting. and thats just one subject. and its not light reading. and youve got stupid accounting exams on your back every week. grrr!!!

No earthly way could I have made it (and I don't think she would have been able to either unless she used the turer for sleep as well as getting to her classes.

I did the same thing my freshman year of college. I was averaging 60 a week at work, going to school full-time, and I accidently took a senior history course. I was going three days at a time without sleeping, taking so many caffeine pills that I could have done an afterschool special, andI even went over 24 hours without peeing once. My GPA was 2.3, which is worse than failing for me. I will never take on so much at once again. I burned myself out. I missed my final history exam, because I fell asleep studying and forgot to set my alarm. I slept for a full 24-hour day. I would only wake up to use the toilet.

This is an excerpt from a fanficton posted at the Sugar Quill.

In the story, "Hermione, Queen of the Witches, Book Three," Hermione is writing in a diary named Gwen. The author cleverly wrote how difficult Hermione's schedule is by way of the diary.

Quote:
Anyway, I’ve got to go.

Studying?

No, I need a nap, my head feels heavy. I’m a bit tired, I think. Not from my classes or anything! Just from... from being awake.

Hmmm. Hermione, which is the day that you have the most classes?

Er, let’s see.... Wednesday. I turn back twice at ten, once at eleven, then lunch, then a class at two, a two hour lab at three, turn back for another lab, dinner... and then Astronomy at midnight. I usually get to bed at one-thirty on Wednesdays. I used to be able to sleep in on Thursdays, but now I have Arithmancy at nine. Why?

So you’re awake five extra uncompensated hours on Wednesdays.

So?

Normally a person would be awake for sixteen hours. You are awake for twenty one, and you’re still only sleeping for eight.

I.... I didn’t really think of that.

Multiply that by five, and you’ve got yourself about a twenty-four hour period that’s entirely un-slept for. That’s like two extra class days, Hermione.

Wow. That’s true.

And I don’t imagine you’re getting enough to eat for that time, either.

That’s all right, don’t worry, I’m fine, I eat plenty and I get enough sleep—I always get at least six hours—

Six?! Hermione, you have to think, please—

Gwen, don’t, don’t, don’t! I’m fine. I just need a nap, I promise. I’ll talk to you soon.

i definitely don't think I could handle her schedule.
