How did they apparate on Hogwarts grounds? This happens when Harry wants someone to tail Malfoy and realizes he owns Kreacher. So he summons Kreacher; Kreacher and Dobby apparate. After receiving instructions, they disapparate.
Are elves exempt from the inability to apparate/disapparate on Hogwarts grounds? |

yah they are exempt. remember that they should not be seen. so if they hear someone's footsteps, they vanish so that the people do not see them. _________________

You say that people cannot Apparate or Disapparate within Hogwarts and yet Dobby manages it, why is this?
House-elves are different from wizards; they have their own brand of magic, and the ability to appear and disappear within the castle is necessary to them if they are to go about their work unseen, as house-elves traditionally do. _________________

True. I was going to say they were ordered to do what their master told them to do, which I would think was more powerful magic than the blocking spells of no Apparate and Disapparate.

I dont think House Elves can apparate into Hogwarts with another person. If that was the case, Voldemort would have known about it and caused major probs in the school. Also, I am sure that Draco would have known and would have had one of his house elves transport the death eaters into the school.

Other magical creatures with that ability might be able to.
If there are any. _________________

I don't think they can.
And I don't think they'd want to if they could.
Centaurs aren't big fans of magic. _________________

I don't blame them for fearing magic.
Wizards haven't exactly been kind to them. _________________

They were lucky enough to get the forest, or do you think they were around before humans and wizards?

I have no idea if Centaurs were around before Humans. They probably came into existence around the same times. Wizards have a race superiority complex. They seem to think they are better than all and can treat any creature or race, ect, anyway they wish. _________________

Yeah. Like how they treated the giants. That was a huge mistake. They just gave Voldemort more power.

Mhm. Alienating all of the magical races, creatures, and beings was a huge mistake on the whole of Wizarding Britain's part. _________________

They even alienate each other. If purebloods had treated muggleborns equally to begin with, there would be no war, no Death Eaters, and no Voldemort. It's sad. _________________

Yeah, that's true, but wizards are humans too. they've got the same prejudice we've got.
Comin back to the topic, there must be some enchantment that prevents humans from apparating along with an elf. And also, i think the hogwarts founders would have wanted the elves to apparate/dissaparate around the castle so they can get their work done easily. hogwarts is too big a place for house elves to be walking around in! _________________ Draco Dormiens Nunquam Titillandus
