I borrowed the movie from a video land recently, since it had initially made me quite a good impression, but now... when you see it again, you realise there's really lots of things they did not mention, or they did mention to a little... and those things totally killed the movie, in my opinion. Although it was a well made movie compared to the fifth, which was the humiliation of the series, it didn't stop being bad.

The Cup
When I had been awaiting for the movie to come out with anxiety, perhaps what I would have expected most would be the Quiddich World cup... which was one of my favorite chapters and couldn't wait to see it on the movie. Wheeeere did they show the Cup? I didn't see any Cup. Where's the Cup?

The Pensieve
Another part I really looked forward to see was Bellatrix Lestrange's trial - being a Bella-addict myself - and I just don't get why was this sadistic wish of people to slaughter the movie there... did Karkaroff turn Crouch in now? And Crouch did not resist? Where's Bellatrix's signature towards Voldemort which is so well mentioned? Where are all these things JKR describes so beautifully in the book?

The Dream
I know putting a background in a movie can be tough, but what they made in Harry's dream was an epic failure... they could have introduced the topic to the audience, so the people that haven't read the book can understand.

The Yule Ball
The comments magazines post about this movie are mostly "for girls" sort of comments, and it is because of this. If the producers had little space for the movie, why did they slaughter the whole movie just to get us see this chapter? What is so amazing in people dancing and all...

The Chinese
Too much referring to Cho Chang... in fact, they could have reduced this on GoF and put more on OotP, since it's where Cho actually appears mostly.

The Maze
Fail... I think saying why is not needed, correct?

The Graveyard
Too few Death Eaters... where is Avery, where is Nott? In fact, what they also slaughtered there was disapparitions.. when someone disapparates, they are supposed to completely vanish and reappear somewhere else, not become dark shadows and fly there...

In short, this movie might had been a failure, but it was a minor one compared to the fifth one... I think it could have taken lots of improvements, don't you think? Wink

The ones I agree with you are probably the Cup and the Dream, the others were actually really great.
Great, great and great!

They could have improved certain points of the movie in my opinion anyway. The fight of Harry-Voldemort was good anyway. Smile
Now, I will never forgive the producers for not putting Bellatwwwwiiix in. Crying or Very sad

I was also disappointed by this film and thought it could have been so much better.
