Alright, so most of the song is pretty good... then it gets to the last line of the chorus...

Tattoo? Wtf? I would never want an ex-boyfriend, or even a friend, to be permanantly attached to any of my organs unless it was my liver and even then I would want it removed.

I'm going to have to go with basically all of "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy." - but that may just be because I hate country.

I do have to give a "so bizarre it's actually kind of good" award to America for Ventura Highway.

Actually, be assured MacArthur Park makes a lot of sense. It just has a lot of symbolism


I think the cake is representing something that the main character of the song put so much work into. It took her so much time to complete and she's never going to be able to do it again....And then someone else who apparently doesn't care, just takes it and leaves it out somewhere to be destroyed...like it was nothing.

It's about people not appreciating the hard work other people put into things.


And I'd have to say the song 'One Week' Makes little sense to me.

It may not even be a matter of honesty. The person could be perfectly honest but the person who loves them has their own delusions about them. They create their own image of the person...and fall in love with that image.

That doesn't sound like love at all...it sounds insane.

Then the lyric "You love me..." is incorrect because the person isn't in love with him, they're in love with an image.

It's a strange kind of love...but love none the less. That doesn't make it sane...Just very shallow

I think the main character of the song is confronting the one who says she loves him when she all she really knows about him is the image she created.

It makes sense, but is it realistic? I don't know if I've ever known or have had a relationship were the person makes up an image like that.

But you have explained it well enough for me to understand (thanks Smile ), I don't know but when ever I would listen to that song it drove me nuts - the funny thing is that I really do like 3 Doors Down...
