They filmed the scene longer, but it ended up on the cutting room floor. Sad

I hated it. Hate, hate, hate. Gosh. >:l

1. James' hair wasn't even messy & black. WTH. It was brown, and neat. DODGY. -.-'

2. Sirius wasn't hot. What thaa heck? He was meant to be the ladies man, with sexy black, shoulder length hair, that all the girls swoon over. It was a dodgy actor with wavy brown hair.

3. Well, I wanted Remus to be more sexy, but that wasn't necessary. Just though I'd put this in. (:

Boooo, hisss

But Snape, was HOT. Smile

yeah i was kinda pissed off about that also.. jame potter doesnt look a bit like the james potter in the book, it ruined it for me practiclly. and would a shield charm really do that? would it switch and let the victim see into the caster's mind? i really didnt think that could happen.

Yeah I agree with most of the posts. They needed to make his hair black and more messy. He looked too clean and dressed nicely.

and in the book, when Harry uses 'Protego', Snape actually says:
'I don't remember telling you to use a sheild charm ... but there is no doubt that it was effective...'

Ermm... then Harry sees his memorys in the pensieve.

Argh, annoyance again.

Although i really liked OOTP i do have to say they did mess things up just like the pensieve think for instance which would be the flashback.

I hated the 'Snape's worst memory'. It didn't seem as though Lily never existed in his life, she was sooo important to him. Its rather saddening that the Sirius Black which was described in the books.. didn't look or match in the film. And James looked ugly... his mouth are moved in awkward positions. However, the Wormtail youngster looks so much like the adult Wormtail.

(It's fan made, but not bad anyway!)

The flashback to Snape's schooldays was half-assed. And as already mentioned, they had James Potter wrong... not even close to how I imagine him. The scene was terribly short. I can understand not overdoing flashbacks, dragging them out... but the way they have it in the movie, it almost wouldn't make any sense to someone not familiar with the book.

I have to agree i'm disappointed with this scene.

About the whole James should have had black hair thing, i think that i disagree with them dying it black because his hair is supposed to be the same as Harry's, but Harry doesn't have black hair in the films. Although i do know that Harry is supposed to have black hair to.

I was disappointed it wasn't in the deleted scenes Sad they showed us stills of it before hand. got me all excited. I suppose they'll put more of it in dh though, in snape's memory scenes. *hopes*

in the book..this thing is in
HBP...when they are being taught to use non verbakl spells... and harry uses Protego...

In OOTp..he simply walks towards the penesive... when snape's not around... and he just sees the memory.. n thus snape ends lessons with him...

MOreover,... IT WAS SNAPE'S WORSRT MEMORY NOT BECAUSE HE WAS BULLIED BY JAMES... THAT WAS USUAL FOR HIM.. BUT BECAUSE THAT DAY ONWARDS .. HE ALMOST LOST LILY EVEN AS FRIEND....

so... like so many other... leaving lily out of the scene was also a huge mistake..

i mean..its okay with us.. we knew what was going on.. even though the scene was running soo fast... but poor movie watchers... i doubt if they would have understood anything....

well the movie makers didn't know it was important because of lily, because dh came out after the ootp movie did. as I said, we can only hope they reinsert the footage into DH
